you are experiencing pain because you have decay that has infiltrated your nerve. This is why the dentist is going to conduct a root canal. After the root canal is performed you will be back to normal.

you are feeling the pain only on one side because the decay on your left side had not progressed enough to the root and was correctly by a simple filling. once the cavity is deep enought to get to the roots you will feel pain which is what is happening on your right side. The root canal will get rid of the pain.

While I would agree with "Idunno", I do have to ask if you are fully aware of all of the considerations of a root canal? First of all, once it is done, you will have a dead thing in your mouth. It can, and will harbor bacteria that can, and will, migrate out of the tooth, since they are porous. These bacteria have been found to be the cause of future disease that can kill you. Look up the web site for "root canal cover up" and give consideration to what is stated there from an ADA researcher that conducted the research into this issue. Finally, once the root canal is done, it will have to be capped. The tooth could become brittle and fall apart, thus having to be removed completely anyway. Your decision, but I would tell my dentist to pull it, and be done with it.

Because your dentist should not fill the root canal tooth to be without starting the root canal. If you go back to him/her they'll take the filling out ,you'll have instant relief.

TAKE alum powder it fine.
Take as warm as possible water to gargle. put a pinch of alum powder, gargle as much time as possible and spit it out. repeat 2 -3 times, u r bound to get relief.

Then take a pinch of alum powder and brush (massage) the fums slowly, and more so on the affected parts.

It is a compilcated item about tooth pain, if u have pain on one side it reflect on the other, if it has problems.

There is a liquid medicine called GUMEX which need to be applied and later it should be brushed with the finger.

It is just sore. Give it three days, take Motrin 100mg. for pain. If pain continues for longer see your dentist.
