I have to get 4 teeth pulled for braces...Friday Im going to the dentist for a cleaning/check-up and they are going to decide if they want to pull 2 at one visit 2 at another, or 4 in all one visit. I kinda wanna get all 4 done at once so they can heal at once and I can get braces on faster, but I also want the healing time to go smooth. Should I get all 4 done at once or get 2 at one visit, then go back 2 weeks later and have the other 2 pulled?????? HELP I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

I went to the dentist for a filling and he numbed me up. When I went to chew shortly after my visit I felt like I bit something metal. Later in the day I did the same thing and I looked in the mirror and I was actually biting my tongue. It looks like a little white sore and it is where I bit which is on the back and on the side of my tongue. How do I get this to heal. Another thing is my grandma said something about rinsing w/ salt and water. What does that do for my teeth?

I just had my mercury fillings removed, and a lot of the procedures weren't followed I think should have been. It seems that they should have prevented breathing through my mouth, for one.

I would like to hear anyone else's experience with this type of thing. Most importantly, any successful detoxification techniques, anything that would help get mercury out of my system.

I just got four teeth pulled out. The worst part is the few days following. Two teeth are on one side and two teeth on the other. It makes it impossible to eat anything solid. I've been eating pudding, yogurt, and icecream for the past week. I'm starving! Are there any other alternatives besides liquid foods? Like soft solid foods or something. What can I do to make this as comortable as possible?

My son is seven years old and he has lost his bottom 2 teeth and they grew in fine. When he lost his top r i noticed that his adult tooth is coming in the comlete opposite way! (the side of the tooth is foremost instead of the flat front of the tooth)
He has an appointment on thursday, but i want to know how they would or if they can fix it. Can he have braces though he still has baby teeth.
I feel bad he said " i dont wanna look like a dork mom, can the dentist fix it"

I know it sounds crazy but I have a friend that is desperate. She has already tried clorox, greased lightning, several over the counter things that shouldn't be used and nothing works. She doesn't have access to a computer so she wanted me to ask. I know it's dangerous and I have already told her that. She said she only dabs a little on her teeth and lets it sit like 2 minutes. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions besides sending her to a mental institution. I'm sure there is someone out here who has possibly tried it as well. It's the Internet?????

My wife's teeth are rotting out of her mouth. She says they are bad because she inherited her Grand father's teeth. His teeth were pulled then dentured at young age of 25. She also blamed steroids she was on when they thought she had MS. Is any of this possible, or does she just practice poor dental hygine? (she does drink alot of colas everyday)

I had my wisdom teeth extracted about 3 weeks ago and I still have craters where the bottom teeth were removed. There is no pain at all, just annoying. I had a dry socket on the bottom right side yet there are still holes on both sides. The top gums have healed quite nicely.

Hi,
I’m 42 years old; I have a recession & bone loss in lower 2 front teeth.I've had 3 gum surgeries (soft tissue grafts for the last 10 years, & 2 years ago had braces & permanent wire attached on back afterward so it hold lower front teeth. Dentist suggested to have extracted 2 front teeth & have bridge that will cover the 6 front teeth.

Thanks a lot -

My DDS advised that my upper wisdoms are impacted and need to come out but I can wait to have them out being military dependent this is important as we are relocating in late spring. I have two questions. First, if I wait and they flare up or get infected what should I be experiencing or watching for? Second, I have panic attacks when my mouth or throat is either numb or swells (thanks to a bout with mono where my throat nearly closed shut) As a result i'm considering having just one removed at a time as it's more manageable as far as level of panic and swelling. DDS also prefers working only one quadrant at a time. Is this a big deal, is it easier that way?
