my son lost his front baby teeth almost a year ago and his adult teeth have not even started to come in yet.i have forgotten how long this takes...any one know? he is 8 years old

He is still OK. They normally come out at or around 8 years of age. If you want to ease your concers / worries, either at his next dental check up, or when you simply have to know, have the dentist take an x-ray of that area and they can tell how close or far they are to errupt.

He needs to be followed up by a dentist. The process of new teeth growing should be evident within a week, as the adult teeth should've been responsible for pushing the new ones out.

I would suggest taking him to the dentist so that they can get some x-rays to see what is going on under the gums there. It all depends on the child, but a year is quite some time. Hope this helps and good luck!

My daughter who is 7 is just now loosing her front top tooth, It is b/c the adult tooth is growing in behind it so i'd say around 7 or 8
