I just noticed it a week ago. It's vertical and not completely lateral. I haven't done anything traumatic to cause it and since I've been fixating on it, I've been having nightmares about my teeth cracking and falling out. I have straight and heathly teeth (as far as I knew) so it's really freaking me out. I am going to see a dentist as soon as my insurance kicks in... how would a dentist fix it, and is my tooth going to fall out??

SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!!

I've got this tooth and it has a small filling in the biting surface of it from a few years ago. I was at the dentist today and he says that I have got a cavity between this tooth and the one in front of it AND the one behind it.......so there's two new cavities on this tooth that's already got a filling in it.

What will happen when I go to get the new fillings? Will he make it one big filling? Or will there be three separate fillings in the same tooth? I never knew they could do that.

I've had Endometriosis and given birth twice but nothing compares to the pain when you have an abscess or tooth problem.

None of the teeth have erupted yet. I'm 16 years old, which means that the chances of any complications coming up are nil. If I choose general anesthetic, I'll have to be referred to a doctor/surgeon guy, which would be more of an inconvenience (I start school soon & I want to get it over with) but more preferable, in my opinion, because I won't be aware of the surgeon cutting open my gums, drilling through the bone, and pulling at the tooth. What to do, what to do?

i'll turn 18 in two weeks
my front two teeth are extremely crooked it it gets very very embarassing when i smile!
REALLY!
i have tried to talk to him about getting braces but he says that i don't need them since he claims he had similar crooked teeth which got fine since his jaw expanded as he grew up!
well....thats not very convincing....also considering that i'm almost 18.....how much of my jaw would grow now?
please help me convince him!
P.S. my sisters are on my side

My discs are dislodged between my jaw bones. I had an extremely painful exray at one of the top hospitals in the country where they inserted metal tubes between my jaw bones and exrayed them to make sue that the discs were in fact dislocated. I and I am unable to control the pain without surgery which I am not ready for. I am unable to find anything that will take away the paiin temperorarily - it occurs mainly when a storm is coming or rain or other changes in weather. I do not need it all the time - just when the weather changes. I also have an underbite which makes it even worse. Can someone help me? Hot and cold compresses do nothing. And I have also tried deep jaw messages - they are very temporary. Help.

I'm scheduled for an upper incisor titanium implant, recommended by my dentist of 30+ yrs and my periodontist. However I've recently heard of 2 aquaintances who had implants done, had problems, and actually had them taken out.
I don't know what the problems were as I don't know them well enough to call and ask, but infection was mentioned.
Does anyone have personal experience with implants who can shed more light on the issue?
Thanks
