they'll check you over, get some medical info.like all dr.'s do.. take X-rays , and then they will ask you your main problem is and they go from there.. its simple don't worry.. the more you worry about what he or she is doing the better off you will be just remember your there to get that tooth taken care of.. yes, some dentist to pull teeth on the 1st visit it just depends on what he or she finds.. Make sure to tell him or her of any pain even the tiniest pressure, coldness around the area its best to do it now than 3 to 6 months later, at your next appointment.. don't hesitate get going its going to be ok!!!!!:)

Many dentists are very against pulling teeth if there is any way to save them. They will probably do Xrays and a cleaning.

DDS stands for Doctor of Dental Surgery, DMD is Doctor of Medical Dentistry I think, so yes, they are called Dr.

Even someone with a PhD can be called a Dr. because they have a doctorate.

Whatever you take will be transferred in the breast milk. You may want to pump several days of breastmilk and store it for when you see a doctor but it only keeps so long.
