For about a week I had been experiencing a fast heart rate , mostly at night. Could feel it pulsing in my neck and chest. Kept me awake all night. I went to the doctor, and my pulse was 102, blood pressure 140/86. They put me on Atenolol. I take one everyday, but sometimes later in the morning. When I take it a few hours late, my pulse is high, and I get all sweaty and jitterey. Is this because the medication is making me feel this way, because I am not taking it exactly 24 hours, or is this how I would feel if I wasn't taking it. Or is it the medication making me feel this way, because they say if you stop taking it, your sympyms could get worse?????

Also the did a EKG, guess it was Ok, but isn't there other test they should be doing?

It seems like something that started in middle school and got worse during high school. Got my diploma at 18.

I'm anxious in general and feel VERY depressed over all the mistakes and wrongdoings (basically the way I was) back then. I even feel WORSE because I wasn't supportive with my Dad in helping us move away from this house we don't like in this town I don't like in this state I don't particularly like. We could've lived in Bellingham, Washington starting earlier 2005 but I wasn't too supportive because I was so anxious about being alone and castigated as the "new kid" in whatever high school I would've attended there. Now I realize that those feelings were stupid and we coulud've moved there. I don't like the life we have here. I feel pretty guilty and very depressed. I kinda know exactly what "could've been" and that makes me horrible.

Could years of psychological therapy interspersed with some medicine help me? Every minute feels like a living hell

I'm hoping to lose some weight (not much, just 10 lbs), but I have a problem with low blood sugar. By the time I am able to get to food, I'm so hungry that I can't stop eating it. What are some good foods that I can eat for meals and will keep my energy up, and what are some good snacks to keep my sugar up in the meantime?

I have a history of ovarian cysts to start things off- i have had 2 surgeries to remove them along with endometriosis. I have also had the marina iud for about 3 years now.
I have not had a period in about 31/2 years and before that they were not regular. My question now is that my dr had me on a birthcontrol pill that was 30 mg i think but is now putting me on a new one that is 50 mg. I am wondering what the side effects will be. I am not sure i want to go on anything else. I am getting so mad cuz i know that i have another one forming but he doesnt think we should do an ultrasound because the results will be the same- he said that he would put me on the pill eitherway! I dont know if he is just tired of dealing with me or what. He also said that he cant give me any meds (he was controlling the pain with vicodin) anymore that are narcotic! I am allergic to torrital so he said he would give me darvon. Will this work? Should i get a new dr? What is everyones input?

For ten years I was bulimia. I went to the hospital last week and had three bags of pottosium in me. I am so blooded I can't even fit in my jeans. I went from 106 to 114. I know that its because of the bags and IV's that I had. I done with my disorder and now I have a fear of gaining weight. I am eating little portions of meals but I am eating food like a 3 year old because nothing will stay in my system.. How much weight am I going to gain? And will the swelling go down from the I V's that I had. I am seeking help now but I feel so bloaded from the I V's and now that I am eating its making it worse. But I am not going back to my disease. Im done. But how do I at least maintain my weight. I don't want to get any bigger. Will the swelling from the I V's go down, and how long will it take?
