My brother has not smoked marijuana in 72 days but he still failed the drug test! He was around second-hand smoke the day before the test but only for a second. Is it possible he inhaled some and didnt know it? FYI he has smoked weed more than the average person for the last 10 years of his life. Could it have remained in his system because of how much he smoked in the past?

I had my wisdom teeth out about 3 weeks ago and now on the upper side of my mouth the extraction site there is irritated and a bit sore. I think this is from rubbing up against the molar near it, but i'm not sure. is this normal?

I just got refused by a urologist due to my age. Some guy said to go to a not-for-profit clinic and lie about my age. I forgot who wrote it. What exactly should I say to get one. Will they attempt to verify? Suggestions anyone? I am 25, single, and have no children, but I still want a vasectomy. Spare me the speach, I want a vasectomy.

Do not-for-profit clinics take insurance? I can pay cash, if they do not. If they do, I already have approval from my health insurance comany.

My last period was very light and painful, lasted about 7 days with spotting pretty much. The one before that was also spotting but for only 3 days, without any cramping what~so~ever. Between both periods I was having alot of lower abdominal pain. I've also been getting painful headaches alot, pretty moody, craving milk, and the smell of bell papers has been making my stomach do cartwheels. I went to get a pregnancy test about a week and half ago, the lab tech. did the test twice and both came back negative. I've also noticed that my abdomin feels reall hard especially when I stand up. I have another appointment in 4 weeks for a pregnancy blood test.

I hope I gave enough detail, it's all I can think of at the moment. My doctor told me that if the blood test is negative then she thinks it's stress. But I don't think I've been stressed lately, not really any more than usual. So if you could please tell me what you think it might be, I'd be soo grateful. Thanks in advance!

I recently have had horrible pain in my lower back which resulted in pain going down my right leg. I've been dealing with it and discovered that the sciatic nerve is being pinched by the L5 bone. The neurosurgeon says that it is operable but has suggested physical therapy. I've been doing exercises in the pool and have had one meeting with the therapist. But as a teacher I have been standing all day because sitting is painful. I am in tons of pain but afraid that one back surgery will lead to another. Does anyone out there have expertise or a similar experience. The shock in my leg has almost gone away with just some sensation but my lower back is unbearable. I am overweight and dieting and trying to excercise. Please help me to make this decision. Thank you.

The person stops breathing, but then there is that final exhale. (With my Mom, it was several minutes later). Between those two points, is the heart still beating? Does death officially occur when the heart stops or when breathing stops?

okay, so during school i tend to be gassy. Not big huge loud ones, lmao, but just like nobody can notice (at least i hope they don't) because they don't smell or dont make noise, but it is really uncomfortable holding it in. I cannot sleep on my stomach or my side as I can't breath well due to my breasts. I am 5'2 with 36 dd and I have also noticed that they are starting to sit lower. When my time of the month arrives my breasts are extremely sore and my back pain is quite bad.
Will OHIP cover my reduction and lift? I have heard that they do, just need clarification!

I have seen 4 neurologists for my condition and 2 ophthalmologists- they say I have blephoraspasm but each said for a different reason - some because of meds I have been on and 1 cause of genetics- I have been on various anti-depressants and treatment for TB exposure. I can exactly pin point when it started and I am on totally different meds now but still have it along with other symptoms. I contacted Mayo Clinic but no one is willing to talk to me as I am not located near a Mayo Clinic. I was hoping some one out there may have similar experiences or now of an excellent specialist willing to do a phone conference at least initially. This is a horrible issue and effecting every aspect of my life - any one out there who can help me??? Please!

Ok, this is kinda wierd for me. My period suddenly stopped in June, and through to July. In August I got it over 3 days, which is kinda unusal for me, and now in September it hasn't come again.

I'm 16, and virgin, so it's not that. Is it normal? It's been quite regular 'till now.

Ok...I dont want any talk about dont do drugs or any of that. Anyways, I smoked weed yesterday and I have a drug test sometime between friday and monday. I dont smoke too often (the last time I smoked was like 3-5 wks ago). I am taking Niacin daily and drinking tons of water. Will this clean me out in time considering i exercise and am not a habitual smoker? What else can I do? Any advice is helpful!

A few years back, I broke my foot. I had a pin put in and had to have 2 surgeries - one to put it in and one to take it out. Before I went for my second surgery, I had a bug bite on my foot and, long story a little shorter, it got infected. It wasn't too bad, so I performed the "do it yourself" fix of peroxide, neosporin, and a small bandage.
When I went to the doctor for my final checkup before my 2nd surgery, he told me this:
"You're not supposed to put ointment on an infection on your feet because the bacteria on the foot is anerobic and the ointment helps it grow"
What does everyone else think?
I can see how this is possible, but yet it doesn't make sense at the same time.
What should I have done? soapy water and a bandage to let it get some air?

I'm twelve years old, I have ten "baby-teeth".. Two over on either side from my front teeth, I have baby-teeth that are underneith my newly coming adult-teeth.. They're doubling up -- plus some of my bottom teeth stick out toward my lip more than others.. WIll I need braces? When can I get them as far as age-wise?

Do I have to have all my baby-teeth gone before I can get braces? I hear this somewhere.

Do you think my two teeth on top will fall out eventually, or will they need to be pulled? Does it hurt if they are pulled?

Okay, three years ago, I broke my humerus, and they said there was no nerve damage, but I can hardley bend my thumb unless I make a fist. Also, when ever I put even the slightest bit of pressure on it, my whole wrist hurts like heck! What is it? Should I get it checked out?
