I'm twelve years old, I have ten "baby-teeth".. Two over on either side from my front teeth, I have baby-teeth that are underneith my newly coming adult-teeth.. They're doubling up -- plus some of my bottom teeth stick out toward my lip more than others.. WIll I need braces? When can I get them as far as age-wise?

Do I have to have all my baby-teeth gone before I can get braces? I hear this somewhere.

Do you think my two teeth on top will fall out eventually, or will they need to be pulled? Does it hurt if they are pulled?

If you're 12, and your baby teeth haven't fallen out yet, they will definitly have to be pulled out. I doubt they'd fall out naturally.

Don't worry, it doesn't hurt, I've had one pulled, and they freeze your mouth.

And any orthodontist you ask is going to tell you to get braces, it's their job. Talk to your dentist, or just look in the mirror and ask yourself if you can live with what you got.

Personally, I suggest you get braces, because you really don't want them in high school or uni, if you change your mind later.

Good Luck.

sure u can live without em... but u might regret that decision.
i'm 13 and currently have braces. the first couple of days were bad. but after a while, they got routine.
i think u should have all ur baby-teeth gone before u get braces, but it's not mandatory. or else, u might need ur braces for EVEN LONGER. they might fall out, they might not. nd if ur dentist guy is good?, then they'll numb u before pulling ANY teeth out.
fortunately for me, i didn't have any pulled. but a bunch of my friends had all 4 back teeth pulled out. i think u'll live and get over it. xD

Ask this question again when you have lost more deciduous (baby) teeth. Some adults never lose some teeth (BABY) teeth.
Why?
There are no permanent teeth to replace them.
Only your own dentist who's seen your case and taken the appropriate x-rays can answer your questions.
