I had my wisdom teeth out about 3 weeks ago and now on the upper side of my mouth the extraction site there is irritated and a bit sore. I think this is from rubbing up against the molar near it, but i'm not sure. is this normal?

I had all 4 teeth removed in July, and my top right one got infected. This was because a small bone fragment left behind, or a piece of food (they're not sure, it can be either) can cause irritation. If this is the case with you don't stress, just rinse with salt water after meals and the gum will work it out naturally, but if it gets worse see your dentist. =D Mine sorted itself out and its all good now!

After I had mine removed, I had a slight pain where my wisdom teeth used to be for years. It almost felt like the dentist left part of the root in my gums or something. It's been gone for a long time now though, I forgot about it until I read your question.

I have never had my wisdom teeth removed. I have two on opposite sides and even place. Ones on the top ones on the bottom, opposite sides... But my mother has and a friend from school has.

It's going to hurt for some time... It can hurt up to a month. Try taking advil.. If it becomes an unbarable pain, see your dentist and have them check it.. That might be an infection... But when you do something with you mouth, it always takes time to get used to how you should have your mouth set.

They just taught my to place my jaw down right so my overbite went away. Taken me three weeks, but it's still a little weird...

But yeah.. Just take some advils or some painkillers, and see if it goes away. If it continues with that faint sore for another week or more, you might possibly want to check it out. And again, if it becomes unbarable, go to the dentist right away.

Do not be afraid. During the extraction process the bone which surrounds the teeth is often stressed and sustains micro-fractures. This takes time to heal.

yes. it's normal. It takes time before your gums would heal. There may be pus too.. What you should do is to gargle BACTIDOL(hexetidine) 2x a day, half full strength. Hope this helps
