Ive had it for as long as I can remember (10yrs or so), could it be from biting my nails? It does get sore sometimes as the skin splits and the cuticles also come away from the nail, its maily on my thumbs and pointer finger.
Could it also be a vitamin deficency? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

my chest, jaw, throat and upper arms are aching. I also have arthritis and degenerating lower back discs. I'm not sure if it is the arthritis doing all this. I'm taking darvocet for the pain and just took an aspirin. This started yesterday after some exercise. hope it will just go away. I'm resting and drinking warm tea a using a warm heating pad on my chest. I would certainly appreciate your opinions. thanks

I am newly single for about 6 months now. I am 190 pounds at 5'5. I carry the weight all over as apposed to in the middle. I live in the country and have decent places to walk weather permitting. I can't afford a gym or treadmill as I am single. Money is tight. Can anyone offer a program that starts slow and builds? I have been walking about a half a mile almost daily and it seems to be the most I can handle. I have extra motivation now as I went out with a guy a few times but his ex found out tracked me down and pointed out that he wouldn't be interested in me because I was fat and old....He still calls but I told him until she leaves me alone I cant go out. Any good walking suggestions?

Hi, I'm actually from a super-nice family, and there's no reason I should be this way, but I guess for every lottery winner, there is probably the same number of ppl with a cursing personality disorder.

Well I got one of the worst. I speculate the philosophy of life, and here's my question for answer.

What would you do, if you woke up and contrary to the past of your life, today and everyday from now on, you'll have anti-social personality disorder, and you're very cruel to others if it involves personal gain. You have no empathy, and you're heartless and driven by vain goals (power, money, hot girls).

It sucks, but my answer is that you have to utilize it, but feel sorry for yourself occasionally.

I'm responsible for a TON of misery and pain and suffering of other people, even indirectly the loss and creation (1 each) of a life.

What would you do if you were me, and you were hated by everyone (if only hated on a subconscious level).

This is ridiculous. I am a 20 year old male and weight 190 pounds. I can not for the life of me lose weight. I eat extremely healthy and limit my calories to about ~1300-1500 a day. I exercise for about 2 hours a day playing tennis. My girlfriend will literally eat twice as much food as me the whole day without exercising and lose weight while I gain weight and she is 120 pounds. Here is an example of my meal yesterday which I gained 1.5 pounds from the previous day:

Breakfast:
Bowl of Cheerios with skim milk and 1 whole banana

Lunch:
Vegetarian Patty(170 calories) on whole wheat bun with tomato, mustard, ketchup

Dinner:
Four cups broccoli and 5 raviolis

I only drink water with my meals, too.

That is ALL I ate yesterday and I was FULL. I have eaten similarly to this for the last week exercising 2 hours a day with a net weight loss of 0 pounds. I also drink more than 8 glasses of water a day. What the hell more can I do?
(I am vegetarian too)

Definition of drug abuse: he use of illegal drugs or the inappropriate use of legal drugs. The repeated use of drugs to produce pleasure, to alleviate stress, or to alter or avoid reality (or all three).


The use of a drug for a purpose other than that for which it is normally prescribed or recommended.


the habitual misuse of a chemical substance

They are very similar definitions. Almost the same.

Why are people either classified as a drug abuser or a drug addict? Drug abusers don't usually get the intese care an addict does. Remember, the definition for addic includes psychological addiction... not just physical.

Last Sunday he became sort of sick just coughing and sort of nauseas, Monday he was a little worse he couldn't hardly breathe he'd have to stop for air he couldn't do much activity and on Thursday brought him to the hospital because he was coughing up mucus and had a swirl of blood...after that no blood. So they sent him home w/ some meds & he's still not better. Now his eyes are tearing up they're red normally the bottom part is sort of pink-red but his are just red and he get like yellowish white discharge and he is constantly sweating no matter the temp. =\ he sleeps a lot and he can't eat much. And his voice altered it's extremely deep and raspy it's kind of scary. But NOW he has a really bad earache and is dizzy. He still has all of the above symptoms minus the coughing up blood.

I know I know GO TO THE DOCTOR, THE ER
but he refuses any sort of medical help and he can because his living will is that if he gets sick to let him be. Let fate take over.

me and my boyfriend mess around and stuff. he puts his finger in me, but i take it away before he really does anything. i'm afraid i might lose my virginity if he puts it in me. And I felt pain then I had little blood but it was really so little. my friend is suffering from chronic and recurrent UTI.she has already tried many times all conventional therapies including triple antibiotic regimen of trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole+nitrofurantoin+diprofloxacin, to no relief.also she has practiced abstinence, and tried vitamin c and cranberry juice.plz help me treat my friend because all the doctors i go to advise me the same antibiotics which unfortunately are not helping and only giving side effects like nausea and vomitting.
