Ouch, and no, there is nothing a doctor can do for that.....

I broke my tailbone snowboarding.....(even though my hubbie suggested skiing first, lol)

I fell so hard on it and broke it, went to the doctor, but he said he couldn't put a cast on my butt......lol.

Not that its a huge butt, but they can't do anything for that, its a non moveable joint, something you just have to have some pain medicine for in the meantime, and try not to hurt it again... :-(

Actually, did that doctor get off on feeling my ***???

The doctor can't put your butt in a sling but I know from experience how painful a broken tail bone is!! A donut cushion helps but time is the only real solution. However, it would be prudent to have spinal x-rays to make sure nothing else was injured that might cause problems later.

Sounds like you hurt your coccyx (tailbone). There isn't much that can be done for it, it just takes time. You may find some relief in sitting on a blow-up, donut-shaped pillow. See your doctor for confirmation and he may be able to give you some pain relief.

I injured mine once too when I fell down a flight of hard stairs. I went to the emergency room and they said I fractured a bone. I only had to rest (mostly on my side), apply ice and take an anti-inflammatory. Get a donut pillow to sit on, trust me it helps a lot. You should still see your own doctor, but I just wanted to tell you what helped me.
