My friend's little brother is having some odd symptoms. He has a huge lump underneath his ear (about the size of a golfball) and he has a 101 degree fever. He also feels light headed and dizzy.

Should we bring him in? What could possibly be wrong?

Is getting an incurable STD like genital herpes pretty much the end of your sex life? I mean, would you have sex or even seriously date a guy if you new he had genital herpes? Even with precautions, that's got to be a huge deterrent.

I'd imagine that if you're single and contract genital herpes, you'll probably only end up having sex a few more times before you die.. what do you think?

i got root canal done my two front tooth 4 days ago as i am getting cosmectic correction (i have very healthy teeth, no decay whatsoever) done on them this friday. the whole procedure was painless. however i noticed that now when i tap my two front teeth even lightly, i'll get a sort of ache akin to biting into an ice cream with sensitive teeth. is this normal? or is it a sign of infection? thanks!

i'm only 15, but Ive had this small thing on my right shoulder for a reeeeaaaally long time. Its not red, or blue or anything; It's the same color as my skin. Its smaller than the head of a pencil eraser, perfectly round, and its smooth. I've never worried about it seriously, until about a week ago, when I read an article in a magizine about skin cancer. Even then I wouldn't have worried about it, becuase It didn't really match any of the symptoms, exsept one. It did beed once about 2 1/2 yers ago. And it said bleeding was a big sign. It's not like it itches, or bleeds all the time or anything, nor does it ever hurt. And Im pretty sure I have no history of skin cancer in my family. one of my uncles died from cancer, but it wasn't skin. I don't know, what do you think? And please try and say something other than," go have it checked out". Because I currently have no insurence. Thanks :]

Before you answer please read all of this!

Can you get HIV through preforming oral sex on a person who has HIV or AIDS if you have absolutely no cuts in your mouth, esophogus, or stomach, no ulcers, no rotted teeth, simply put- NO wounds or anyway for seman/ vaginal secretions to enter your blood stream? Would the virus be killed once it enters your stomach and gets bombarded with stomach acid? Or could you still contract the virus through digestion?

This came up at a bar the other night and towards the end of the drunken debate we all realized that we just don't know.

Also, remember, this is completely hypothetical in that when you answer this question you need to pretend that there is absolutely no chance that the person has any wounds that would allow the virus to simply get into your blood.

Im male, 5'11, 145 lbs. I'm not worried about the weight, just the fat. Kinda embarrising, but my stomach and butt are getting big.

Im not eating bad, but it could be healthier. Don't drink soda much, and hardly ever chips. I work out so my upper body and legs are fine, but my belly and thighs i guess need work.

Any ideas on shaping down my belly and butt?

Some people on here claim that they only fart about once every two days or so. This must mean that only some foods produce gas when digested. So, if a person completely avoided these foods and burped up all the air they swallowed, couldn't they avoid farting. I've hear that everyone does it so many times, but couldn't it be avoided with the above. This is a serious question!

my friends and i play basketball, i realized that they had more suppleness than me cuz when we are stretching up b4 a game, they can bend their knee and make the back part of the feet to touch the gluteus and they can bend their ankle like a ballet dancer. but i cant, i dont have their type of flexibility so i have a few qs:
1. is it true that a more flexible means that u can bcome taller?

I would like to know anyone who will comment on their experience with having already undergone a vasectomy, the reason why you decided it was a good or great idea, your age when you did the procedure, how long it took, what was or were your worst fears if any, do you wish you had not done it, if so why, & for those responding that have done it for birth control reasons or not wanting any or anymore kids, is it working for you as a birth control method? How long ago was your vesectomy? Anybody it did not work for?? What, if anything went wrong, or nothing at all? And lastly, how long is the procedure, did it hurt at all, what was the recovery time for you & how soon could you have penetration sex with a full erection? Are there any psychological drawbacks for anyone and/or did you feel a loss after? I want to hear feedback from experienced males rather than ask a doctor black and white questions & getting clinical answers. Thanks much

I have some kind of form of blood clot in/ at my wrist. I cant move it at all because any movement it hurts. It has been like that for over two months now. So they finally came to the conclusion that they have to surgery. I was in a way glad because at atleast that would be a step in it getting better. Than they told me i have to wait over month for surgery because they are back up. Is there anything i can do? Could i do see another doctor? Would they have to start from the beginning or could i just bring or fax my med. records to the new doctor?

My jaw pops every time I open my mouth. & this has been going on since my teenage years. I told my orthodontist about it, but she said my jaw popping had nothing to do with TMJ, & also when I experience anxiety, my teeth grind. & my mouth gets tired easily when I chew gum.

how long after the initial appointment with the neurosurgeon would you guess it be for a surgery. The surgery is on a herniated disc compressing he nerve and causing severe leg pain. I haven't had my appointment yet, and im curious how long it would take because i really dont know how much longer can put up with this.
