I recently learned in health class about a disorder called Peyronie's disease, which is an irregular bend in the penis. My teacher says one of the causes is masturbation. Is this true?

In the past it seems like I was able to eat VERY little (like an apple and a few crackers a day) for about a week and I lost about 10 pounds. But I've never tried to cut that many calories for longer than that. How long would I continue to lose weight eating this way, and when would my metabolism slow down to where I was holding onto everything I ate and gaining weight instead of losing it?

Please can someone explain it to me?My husband was send to get a CAT-SCAN b/c our doc was worried about his lung not working properly(she said she could barely hear it)
No one will tell us anything or what's going on.
And is it normal if one lung is a bit shorter then the other one?I saw that his right lung is shorter during the scan.
Thanks in advance!

Obesity involves having an abnormally high proportion of body fat. Doctors define obesity as having a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher and overweight as having a BMI of 25 or higher.

Weight is largely determined by how you balance your intake of calories from food with the energy you use in everyday activities. If you consume more calories than you use, you gain weight. Your body stores calories that you don't need for energy as fat.

Fat is important for storing energy and insulating your body, among other functions. The human body can handle carrying some extra fat, but beyond a certain point, body fat can begin to interfere with your health.

Eating too many calories and not getting enough physical activity are the main causes of obesity, especially in combination. But many factors can contribute to obesity.

Because about the time my breasts should have been developing I ran cross country and was super skinny. I am 19 and am very, very, flat chested. My mom and sister don't have huge boobs, but they both have bigger boobs than me. Is it possible that since I was too skinny, I actually prevented my boobs from developing the way they should have?

and drink fluids but never have choked on anything. It just feels like my throat is uncomfortable and tight. After 5-10 seconds, the food passes and I can eat again, but if I eat too quickly (i.e. the pace of other people, including everyone) then it happens regardless of how much I chew the food. Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I just suffered with a smaller than average asophagus (sp)?

i am counting calories. i weigh 117 lbs, i am 5'3", and i am 25. i exercise on a regular basis, but not to the extreme. i run about 1 mile everyother day, i do yoga, and light weight repetions for my arms for toning, and i also do ab exercises. i dont like to eat more than 1,000 calories per day. my co-workers freaked out when i told them that. they said they i am depleting my body, especially since i exercise. am i really doing harm to my body? how may calories should i intake to maintain my weight? does my exercise really burn alot of calories?

I gained about 30lbs when I quit smoking (everything tasted so good). I never had trouble taking weight off, but without the smokes, it seems like I am stuck at this weight. I have thought about trying the above mentioned programs and would like the pros and cons of each or any other suggestions. I do exercise moderately a few times a week, but most of the time I am stuck behind a desk.

I wake up 6 am, eat whole wheet bread with peanut butter (two big spoons full) and maybe a cookie...
then.. I do excercise in my room for 30-45 minutes
Take a shower 10-15 minutes, get ready for school
walk during break in school. I have an apple during both breaks (small break and big break).
Come home at 4, eat at 5:30 ...salad with tuna and crunched up nachos (hand full) OR a small hand fulla nuts.
Then excercise for another 30-45 minutes and take a shower.
study blablabla take a break, watch tv, computer, read, guitar.. and then I take a walk in the evenin with mom or I excercise again for 15-30 minutes b4 goin to bed.
I don't eat after 6-7 pm .. I drink a lot of water.
Been doing this for 5 months.
'course I don't eat the same thing every day.. sometimes I'll have rice puffs in the morning with honey. For dinner, salads or chicken with peas n brocoli.
I do however move a lot in school between classes and at home.
So WHATS UP! why aint I losing weight!

My husband and I argue about it. even with the air on, the upper level of my home is uncomfortably warm. He won't let me keep the fan on in the kids room because he's afraid the air blowing on them all night will make them sick. It's at least 78 degrees in there. I told him they would only get sick if they already had the germs, and that maybe they would get stiff muscles if it got chilly in the room. Help us settle this so the poor kids (and myself) can sleep in comfort.
