People die...Cancer is not a ticket to death. I know by personal experience that the doctors say if a person has cancer, they can TREAT cancer. It can be eliminated completely or you will have to endure long term treatments and tests for the rest of your life. They say there is NO cure for cancer. The treatments for cancer can prolong life and living. Some for years an the cancer person may live longer after cancer detected and treated than a person who never had cancer.

It depends on the level of cancer they have, what kind it is..What sort of treatment they get and how they respond to the treatment..

There are many different kinds of cancer, and some are naturally more aggressive than others, but there are a lot of advances in cancer research and treatment and I think there are a lot more people surviving cancer than there used to be.

No.

There are lots of different kinds of cancer, and some are not as serious as others.

Sometimes you can get a serious cancer but it can take many years before you actually die from it.

Cancer in general is not a death sentence. The danger depends on what kind you have and how severe it is.

Statistically, about 50% of all people who get cancer get into remission. The numbers vary very much with type and stage of cancer. For example, nearly every patient who get Hodgkin's disease (a type of lymphoma) get a remission with treatment (radio or chemotherapy), except very advanced stages. But for glioblastoma (an agressive type of brain tumor), most people will die within1 year of diagnosis...
