I know alot of dentists require pre-medication before performing a cleaning service on a client with Mitral Valve Prolapse but this seems extreme... I was perscribed to take 4 500mg Amoxicillin Pills 1 hour before my appointment (all four have to be taken at the same time... that is a total of 2000mg of antibiotics)! I know this is a precaution to avoid endocarditis (which is a no good situation)! My question ... Is this too much? I am a petite girl (5' & 100 ibs) and I fear that I will react to such a high dosage (nausea, etc) I have serious digestive issues and worry this may set them off (my dentist is aware of these conditions)! I know I have to take them (a requirement by my dentist) but would 2 be suffice or should I suck it up take all four (or get a second opinion from a pharmacist and/or physician)?

Okay, it turns out that I have "wet" eczema, but right now I have it on my breasts, and it's just horrible. I was wondering if anyone had any solution to it? I've been putting Lanacane on it (which has been helping other areas of my skin), but it's taking forever for it to heal on my breasts. Anyone have any idea for lotions or creams or ways just to help it out? Thanks.

Can more than one abortion weaken the uterus given you less of a chance to have a baby in the future?

A few months ago I had a root canal and a crown done on a top back tooth. If I push on it with my tongue on the sides, it feels a little pressure achey. Not a pain or a sting, just a funny ache type feeling. It does not hurt when I push on it straight on or chew on it, and it is not temperature sensitive. It has no pain... but sometimes if I chew something like a granola bar or steak it might feel a little achey for a bit afterwards. Not while I am chewing, but after. I wouldn't say it is a hurting ache, more like an irratated ache. Any ideas what is going on? I do have a dental appt, but wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen?

I have trouble falling asleep, but I have no problem staying asleep. I just stay up till like 3 in the morning and sleep well till 9, I wake up sleepy and tired. I've never tried sleep aids before because I'm afraid that I will be groggy the next morning or I wont here my daughter crying at night because I'll be in too deep a sleep. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

I am not an diagnosed celiac and have minimal gastro intestinal symptoms. However, i get severe joint pains which no one can diagnose. they say it isn't rheumatoid and is not old age arthritis. There is no swelling either. i wonder if it is worth going on a gluten free diet to see if it has any effect.

my friend just had surgery to remove her gall bladder. It was supposed to be a one-day surgery (in & out the same day), but she stayed there for 3 days before she was discharged. In my opinion she should have staye there at least another day. Anyways... it's been a week since her surgery and she's still in alot of pain, she can't even fix her hair.

I have a patch of dry skin inside the top part of my ear. I've had it for years, and it will not heal! I pick the dry skin off every day just so people don't see it sticking out of my ear, but I have gone weeks without picking it to see if it would heal and it still wouldn't. I've tried mousturizers and even cortizone cream, but none has worked. Any ideas what I might try or what this could be?

have family who are untrustworthy. I am realy sad & hurt over what they have done 2 me. When I lived with my married sis for 6 months I had major problems. She didn't appreciate everything I did for her & her kids. I was practically a servant. I cooked, cleaned, lend her large sum of money (which I never got back) & brought groceries.. She lied to my mom about me saying that I never did anything for her. She made up stuff about me getting drunk & sleeping with a man. Since I was hurt badly I confided in my aunt about what I went through. She swore she'd never tell anyone. But her kids knew practically everything. They told my sis that I've been badmouthing about my sis to their mom. When I told my aunt she said her kids wouldn't do such a thing. So I stoped talking to my aunt. She was upset that I don't talk 2 her anymore. Mom told me 2 start talking 2 her. So I did just 2 make peace. One of her daughter said she'd kill me with her bare hands. But she still defents her kids.
