Is an enema, once a week, good for keeping the colon clean ?

I completely agree with "The_only" and for all the same reasons. The purpose of most enemas is to relieve constipation. A nutritional enema is the exception. There's no need to "clean" the colon. The GI tract is contaminated anyway and will never truly be clean. Huh....coffee?????

Never use an enema unless at the advice of your doctor. As for keeping the "colon clean"...use a natural, gentle pill over the counter , but do not use it more than about one time per month...if you are having problems with constipation see your doctor..if you are just asking for "cleansing" as your question appears..don't use enemas...use the over the counter pill once a month as stated...you can dehydrate yourself and cause a miriad of problems..

weekly enemas will cause you to become dependant on them for evacuation. enemas stretch the bowel and make it incompetent, they should only be used as needed for constipation.

you don't have to do this. Go to webmd and look up colon cleansing. It can cause dehydration etc. Your body takes care of itself naturally. Eat plenty of fiber and you'll be ok.

Sure...do that, then use a buttplug...the do jumping jacks for 10 minutes. That will clean you up!
