my friend just had surgery to remove her gall bladder. It was supposed to be a one-day surgery (in & out the same day), but she stayed there for 3 days before she was discharged. In my opinion she should have staye there at least another day. Anyways... it's been a week since her surgery and she's still in alot of pain, she can't even fix her hair.

post op depression is very real, and it is caused by use of pain medication. sounds to me like your friend is getting every ounce of sympathy she can out of this surgery.

I do believe it's real, pain is part of the healing process and well your friend will need to recuperate both physically and mentally.

Keeping her in the hospital could cause a nosocomial infection, good thing she was discharged, she was in there too long...

go back to the doctor or ER as she may have a gall stone in the duct.
