I have a patch of dry skin inside the top part of my ear. I've had it for years, and it will not heal! I pick the dry skin off every day just so people don't see it sticking out of my ear, but I have gone weeks without picking it to see if it would heal and it still wouldn't. I've tried mousturizers and even cortizone cream, but none has worked. Any ideas what I might try or what this could be?

Hi, Its sounds like you have psoriasis. Its actually a skin disease and unfortunally there is no cure for it. The best thing to try is a medicins called Psorisian, It is an over the counter medicine and it sounds like you have a mild case of it so hopefully this will work for you. I have a mild case as well and I found that it works, I did do a little research on this and it is actually caused by your body producing new skin in a certain area and pushing it up to the surface faster then the rest of your body so i guess it kinda accumualtes, because of this your everyday mosturizer wont do the job, If this medicine dosent work see your demetologist, You may be missing a vitamin in our diet that causes it at well. I hoped I helped
