Cause I am just starting and it takes me 12 minutes LOL so I want to know what I should shoot for. I'm 23 and female.

LOL. There's a lot of individual variation in running ability, even if you're in decent shape, but I think 8 minutes would be a reasonable target.

Just like weight loss, though, these things take time. If you were to get there by this time next year, that would be outstanding.

This is a very subjective measure that will be different with all people. As mentioned before, take it slow and just work your way up. Set short and long term goals and try to stick to them, but don't punish yourself if you don't reach them perfectly. You'll learn how your body reacts with time.

well take it slow still and decrease finish time weekly. You should get as fast as 4-7 minutes. GOOD LUCK
