15 year old soccer goalie suffered broken nose and mild concussion. it is now 2 weeks later and she is still suffering from moderate to severe headaches, some fatigue and difficulty concentrating. Pediatrician is recommending complete rest, including staying home from school for an extended period of time. does this sound too conservative?

the metal inside my piercing? My tragus piercing looks like it's slightly bruised and it's looked that way for quite awhile. I got it done 6 months ago so it should be relatively healed. My helix piercing is swollen and sore constantly. Although there is no pus secreting and no sign of infection. I was pierced with surgical steel which I've read can contain a small amount of nickel which I'm highly allergic to. If this is an allergic reaction, what is recommended I do?

I have an OCD tendancy to constantly finger my inner ear. With this frequent fingering I pick out flakes of my inner ear and a lot of earwax- it is a constant problem. Though at times my finger comes out clean within moment a chunk of wax/flake drops. Gross I know- but just wondering, hey why not?

I have never had a problem with being overweight. I don't diet, and I seldom ever exercise. Yet, I don't seem to gain very much weight. Doctors claim that 60 percent of Americans are overweight. What is causing this problem? Is it caused by stress? I used to think it was caused by people eating too much food. But, I'm really starting to believe this problem is caused by stress. I think stress is having a very negative effective on everyone's metabolism. People aren't burning up calories because they are stressed out. What do you think the problem is?

i had a tooth next to the front teeth removed yesterday as it got broken and was loose. it was very quick and i didnt feel it. but my gum and the teeth surrounding are saw. there also feels to be a 'bubble' in the gap, if you know what i mean. im a complete idiot & wuss and daren't look in the mirror. it doesnt hurt alot. but i wondered if this was normal and how long the sawness would last.

also, in about 4-6 weeks im going back to have a bridge fixed, but what does this actually entail?

My father has been suffering from severe boils. They are big and painful. We are consulting the doctors. He has been a diabetic for 25 yrs. His diabetes is under control through discipline and oral pills. He has never taken insulin. We took a second opinion and the other doc suggests him to be on insuline for 1 month for faster healing as well as to prevent new boils from occuring.

My question is - is it safe to introduce him to insulin? His current blood sigar levels are under control.

Once on insulin, can he completely be off insulin OR he will get stuck to it for life?

Like for instance, my elbow always rests on a certain part of the chair handle and it's got bruised. Same with the wrist although it's not as mad because I have a wrist support mouse-pad.

How do I get rid of those marks and prevent them from happening in future?
