Growth has nothing to do with you having your regulars ,Yes it is good to have periods on a monthly basis as it clears your system of bad blood and keeps the Ovaries and the tubes clean ready for the next cycle/month.
Now regarding the growth in height it is a continuous process from the time of birth to the age of 20 to 25 ,I know some people who have grown after becoming mothers .So relax and enjoy your life and stop worrying about the growth as it is genetically /height depends up on the parents and grand parents ,But there is always an exception to the rule ,you might be the tallest in your family.

No Dear, you don't stop growing if you start ur period, I started at 11 1/2 and I stopped growing at 16 but I also smoke and only grew to be 5'2"

If that was the case, the world would be full of female "little people". In other words, dwarfs or midgets.. Get you a good educational book on female anatomy to read. You are born, you grow in some way until you die. Tallness is usually inherited, not because you have periods.

If I read this correctly, you are saying you will stop growing in experience when you start your period. Honey, that is preposterous. It is the same as saying you can not learn anything. All of your life is experience. Building on happenings and learning from them is what makes you wise, not smart, wise! Keep growing and learning and experiencing.

I got my period at 13, and kept growing til I was like 16 or something.....but if you had your first period at 16 or later, then you might not grow any taller....
But having your period has nothing to do with whether you are growing or not....

I got my period in grade 4 and didn't stop growing until 16 or 17.
whoever told you this information told you utter nonsence.

I dont necessarily think it is cooler. If it looks like your pants are going to fall down uh... Yeah that is a problem. That is the only thing I really care about if a guy is sagging.

i continued to get taller after i graduated after high school. at least an additional inch and a half. each person is different. so no one can answer that question as it all comes down to your genetics not your period.

no the average famale stops growing between 19 and 22. check your health book.

you still have time to grow and develope. i know girls who got their periods in the 5th grade and they def weren't developed then. i've heard that you stop growing 4 years after having your period. but i don't know how true that is. how old are you?
