So there is a cycle that women go through where there is a lower CHANCE of getting pregnant but the CHANCE still exists - if you are going to have unprotected sex you are ALWAYS going to be at risk to get pregnant, not to mention the possibility of getting a sexually transmitted disease.

Be mature - use a condom.

If you are trying to avoid getting pregnant, use a condom.

BUT... If you insist on having unprotected sex, the "safest" time is just after your period.

HOWEVER!!!! There is no guarantee, and it really varies depending on the person. My husband and I managed to avoid pregnancy for 3 years using that method, but I DID GET PREGNANT with my youngest daughter eventually.

It is not fool proof!!!

After the birth of my youngest son in 2001, my husband and I only had sex at certain times of the month. BC pills make me violently ill, and he (like most guys) hates wearing a condom. I didn't get pregnant until 2004, when we started trying for another girl. But that doesn't mean that would work for everyone, and you have to be very very careful about your timing. And if you get stuck in the moment and forget, you're screwed in more ways than one.

After my youngest was born, I got my tubes tied. That's the only sure way to avoid pregnancy unless you use protection.

Just because I got lucky for a while, doesn't mean it will work for you. And STD's are always a concern... even if you're involved, engaged or married.

If you try to use this method, be prepared for pregnacy because it could easily happen at any time.

It's like running across the freeway. You could avoid a dozen cars before you get mowed down by a semi.

Bottoom Line: ALWAYS BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe there is no time to have unprotected sex and would hope you would think about this more seriously as there are so many diseases now that the big question should be do I really want to do this to myself or others. you could change your life or someone elses forever and not for the better hope you take care and don't try having sex without some kind of protection.

Early on in your cycle or towards the end after you've ovulated. You need to chart this for several cycles before you can find out when you ovualte though. Natural family planning can work but there is a risk of pregnancy as with any other form of contraception. fertiliy.co.uk is a good website to help find out more.

It is said that 6 days before and after menstruation is safe period. But some times it vary to some woman. So better to use protection in early stage of the safe period.

There isn't one. The chances are less likely during period time, but it can still happen.
