she could have an anxiety disorder, which can cause a variety of symptoms. if a person is paranoid, they generally are paranoid and feel that someone or something is after them all the time. does she feel safe at home, or is it just when she babysits at someones house, which may indicate a social anxiety, or phobia. i am, however just guessing, so some professional help, such as counseling may help her. good luck

It can happen but the chances are really low. Maybe something has happened in her past that makes her feel like this??? Maybe there was a time in her life when she felt really safe but something bad happened to her so she's now paranoid. Tell her that she is limiting herself by always thinking like this. Walk with her sometimes around the neighborhood. Tell her that she's not in jail and that she's missing out on a lot of stuff such as...... Mention things that she used to like doing in the past that requires going outside. good luck!!!!

I think a lot of people are. Watch the news every day and it comes with the territory. But, it isn't good or healthy to live in fear. These days I figure whatever will be will be and don't think beyond that, not very often anyway. You might try to get encourage your gf to change her thought patterns. Maybe therapy if her fear is interfering with your relationship or other aspects of her life. Good luck to both of you.

Ask your'eself, what kind of trauma has she had in the past year?[if any at all] that would make her feel that way?!! If she's hasen't had any, then you need to consider to talk to a counsler. I know things happen all over the U S ,but she really needs to see a DR. if she's that afraid.

The media whips young (and old) people into a mass hysteria over abduction and sexual predators: too much TV.
