I have a bunch of floaters in my right eye, which also happens to be my more nearsighted one. They've been there for awhile, so I'm not really worried about them, but I was wondering if there's a way to deal with them or a method for ignoring them so I can forget about them.

I havnt been about to swallow comfortably for over a week. A bout an hour after I get to sleep I have to wake up and go to the sink because I have phelgm build up and it is so uncomfortable, and it hurts to cough and spit it. I also have the feeling like my tonsils are covered in sand-paper. They dont look all that inflamed or red. Also, with the phlegm, there is alot of mucus build up and (disgustingly) I blow it out of my nose but it is also dripping to the back of my throat, causing me to spit more. I havent been able to go the doctor, but does it should like an infection that needs antibiotics? I dont think I should go to the doctor if it just sounds a virus and will pass.

My gynocologist has recommended a D&C because of excessive uterine bleeding, the presence of precancerous cells (whatever those are), and polyps. What does the procedure include? Is it painful? What is the recovery time? I was upset at the doctor's office, so I didn't ask any questions.

i am, or was a very intelligent person, but lately i've been a complete dumbass. can this be attributed to daily masturbation? like 6 months ago i took an IQ test and got 130. today i took one and got 122. and i know that those tests are reliant on concentration, but can anyone give me a serious answer?

Last night i started having like gurgling in my stomach, it just kept growling. This morning when I woke up I had to go to the bathroom, and my stool was dark, runny and kind of tarry looking. At first it looked black, but when i wiped it was a green color on the tiolet paper, i know this is really gross but i just want to know what could be causing this? also, i just finished an antibiotic today, and i stopped taking mucinex, i don't know if this could contribute to it or not? Also, I'm not having any vomiting, or nausea, or anything of that sort, just the diarreah.

I had my first period in November and it came out like I was explained it was supposed to, but then in December there was hardly any blood, and I haven't had my period from January yet. I don't know what's going on, and I'm a little scared to have a talk with my mom AGAIN, so I'm not sure what I should do. Is it normal to have a late period? How late should it be? What if I skip it completely? What if I stop having my period at all?

Went to the Doctors five times in the last week for same pain. the pain is in my lower left abdomin...first she thought it was a virus, but i am not getting better, then she thought it was mono or dehydration but the lab results were normal, now she seems to think it is acid reflux. the thing is my stomache itself does not hurt, its lower. the pain comes and goes. when i have the pain i cant get comfortable and it feels like someone is twisting my insides. My doctor has prescribed me medication for acid reflux but i dont think i have it. any suggestions?

The other day I mentioned how I was on Cymbalta and have just come off of it. I've been experiencing more frequent brain zaps and now I feel a bit nauseated and dizzy. If I knew coming off of anti-depressants was so rough I would have opted for something else. I read that the zaps will subside after awhile but I want this to stop now. My Dr. asks if I wanted more meds but I don't and don't think I need them. Short of suffering is there anything I can do to speed up the coming down process? Come to think of it the Cymbalta was okay, I wasn't as depressed as before but I don't think I'll never take another anti-d again. Next time I'll try prayer or meditation, etc. Any advice. Thanks.

I've been a Type I diabetic for 16 years, no complications yet, but lately I've felt as if my mood and energy is negatively affected by changes in my blood sugar levels. I'm in reasonably good control, test several times a day, but inevitably it is a balancing act and having diabetes implies that glucose levels are never stable. I have, however, noticed that my mood improves when I limit my carbohydrate and starch intake, eating more protein. I also tend to get very, very tired when my blood sugar is above, say, 180 or so and I literally fall asleep when it hits about 230. I feel cognitively lethargic when it gets to this level as well, which is incredibly frustrating. Anyway, it's a constant balancing act, and I'm just wondering whether other diabetics also feel as if their moods are more volatile compared to non-diabetics?

My dad's partner suffered a massive stroke back in October. The left side of her brain was devestated, she has been left with no speech and very limited movement.

My dad is unable to care for her now for a number of reasons including lack of finances.

The doctors say that she will not improve in the rehabilitation centre she is currently in and it is time for her to come home.

Someone in a similar situation has advised my dad that the best thing he can do is to leave her so that she can get all the help and support she needs to have some sort of quality of life (for example a live in carer and their home to be adapted for her needs) from the government or whoever helps in these situations.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation that can share their experiences?

I have been so sad and depressed lately. At school my teacher asked me what was wrong and even told me I looked depressed. I told her I was fine even though I was hurt on the inside. She sent me to the counselor and I told her I was fine too. She didn't believe me but I wouldn't break down and tell her. She only let me go because I had good grades and couldn't think of anything else to do. My teacher hasn't said anything to me sense. Now I wish she would. Now I just want help. I don't care what I have to do. I just don't want to go to her and tell her because I am too shy but I do want her help. She was the only one of my teachers smart enough to know I was depressed. I not close enough to my parents to just come straight out and tell them. I don't know what to do anymore. I am afraid if I don't get help, I will do something stupid and hurt myself. Please give me suggestions on what to say to my teacher or how to get her help.

Doing a cleanse really appeals to me. There are quite a few foods than I need to detox from. I really want to get rid of the toxins from my body. I have been reading a lot about the master cleanse but it seems a bit too drastic for me. Is it possible to drink the lemonade from the master cleanse to help me detox but add clean foods (vegetables and fruit)? I just need SOMETHING. I am trying to make wise choices but I crave sugar, lots and lots of carbs, so I think I need something to help me out. I'd like to try this for 10 days or so just to help me cleanse.
