The other day I mentioned how I was on Cymbalta and have just come off of it. I've been experiencing more frequent brain zaps and now I feel a bit nauseated and dizzy. If I knew coming off of anti-depressants was so rough I would have opted for something else. I read that the zaps will subside after awhile but I want this to stop now. My Dr. asks if I wanted more meds but I don't and don't think I need them. Short of suffering is there anything I can do to speed up the coming down process? Come to think of it the Cymbalta was okay, I wasn't as depressed as before but I don't think I'll never take another anti-d again. Next time I'll try prayer or meditation, etc. Any advice. Thanks.

I had the same problem with getting off of effexor. Horrible feeling. I just couldn't take the dizziness and the jolts and everything. My Doctor put me back on it and said he'd try weening me off of it slower, but he hasn't done so yet. Not sure if that will help, but see what your Dr. thinks about that. I wish you the best of luck and I'm sorry you have to go through this. I know how horrible it feels. But hang in there. I'm not sure how long it takes but I hope it subsides soon for you.
