I had my first period in November and it came out like I was explained it was supposed to, but then in December there was hardly any blood, and I haven't had my period from January yet. I don't know what's going on, and I'm a little scared to have a talk with my mom AGAIN, so I'm not sure what I should do. Is it normal to have a late period? How late should it be? What if I skip it completely? What if I stop having my period at all?

When you first start, it'll take your body to stabilize. One your hormones settle down, so will your period.

First, congratualtions on joining the ranks.

Now, take a deep breath and relax. It takes your body a few years to get used to it's new role after your first period. So, your cycle can be all over the place, and you will also take some type to establish your flow pattern. It's completely normal.

Do talk with your mother. She's been there, too.

I've had my period since August and i usually have mine up to 3 weeks late. When you 1st start your period it will be irregular up till about two years of having your period. But, if you have had sex lately i would go get a pregnancy test. If you haven't had sex though it is totally normal and i wouldn't worry about it.
TIP:keep a thin pad on at all times in case you start up cauz you are irregular.

Don't panic, everything is okay. You just started having your period in November. Sometimes it takes a couple of months (or even years) before your period comes regularly every month.

Your hormones are just fluctuating.

It's not unusual for you to be irregular when you first start your cycles. The reason is the fluctuation in your hormones.

Don't worry about it if you aren't sexually active. It's normal for young girls.

You may go for months and not have another one or they could start next week and become every 21 days. Everyone is different.

you're fine. stop stressing...that makes you skip periods! take a nice warm bath, go to bed with a heating pad on low, it will come...unless you've been practicing un-safe sex?
