I know this may come as a weird question. But I started dieting about a week ago. Nothing major, just replaced unhealthy snacks with carrots and celery, and quit eating fried foods and some other unhealthy foods.

Anyhow, My bowel movements were about once a day before I started this, and the stool was pretty firm(?) (I can't find the right word).
But now I am going about 4 times a day and the stool has become loose. It is not diarrhea, it is just really loose and more frequent than before.

I mean is this normal or what?

Serious replies only please!

How can I get over this?
I was abused as a child, but I can't seem to convince myself that it was real. I tell myself it wasn't even a big deal...that people in the past went through worst, so it is justified. And I turned out fine, so what's the big deal. But sometimes I just really hurt inside, and wish I had a home with a mother who loved me. Sometimes I have memories of the things she did to me, and it hurts so much, because I bet she was stressed. She was a single mother. She was a waiter. She raised my sister and I on her own. I just can't seem to admit that it wasn't my fault, and it's tearing me apart. She's normal now. She eventually went to college and got a better job. Less fiancial strain, I guess. I want to forgive her, because she is okay now. But it is so hard. What do I do?

Some hings she did:
--beat me with fists, broom, anything in reach
--bloody noses
--pull my hair
--bang my head against the wall
--when I was little, I would scratch myself after beatings. I don't know why. when my mom found out, she called me crazy and "helped" me by scratching my neck and back
--tape my mouth shut with tape

Please help. I love her, but I want to *like* her. Counseling is not an option, so don't suggest that.

Thanks.

I had a fracture on my cunieform bone of the first toe and that has healed (according to the xray). But I had a couple of bones floating around near the navicular bone that they removed. But my toe still hurts. So I went back to the doctor and he said it is capsulities. So okay he gave me Reflan for a month - still have pain but not as bad with the medicine. My toe still hurts with pain radiating up - and when I walk - everyonce in awhile it will just give me a stabbing pain and I can't put weight on it. Can you still have a fracture after it healed?

is that possible?

i'm currently tapering off of the drug lamictal, which i was using for mood disorder. since i started weaning off of it i haven't been able to sleep well. i have to get up for class in five hours and i've been tossing and turning for over an hour. partially, i'm sure, due to the fact that my stupid roommate keeps her lamp on. nonetheless, one of the side effects of lamictal is insomnia, but mostly in patients with epilepsy (i.e. not me). i've never had this problem before, but it's been really bad within the past few days, which is how long i've been coming off the lamictal.

I WISH I COULD FALL ASLEEP RIGHT NOW!

I am a soldier overseas and have been working out on my time off. I go to the gym 5-6 nights/week. During these sessions I usually do an 1 hr + of cardio exercise: either running on the treadmill (1% incline @ 6.5-7.0) or eliptical machine (level 15 @ random/hills). I usually do not stop until I have burned at least 700 calories. After cardio I do an ab and pushup routine. I have been working out for 6 weeks. I have gained 10 lbs since I started. Now, I have noticed that my close are tight, specifically my thighs. I want to lose wieght and inches. Why am I gaining wieght and inches? As far as my diet. I don't eat a lot of meat (maybe one portion a day), therefore, I mainly eat fruit, vegetables and carbs. Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tend to cry a bit much over a family death. Is this healthy?
I don't know, but it just seems to let my feelings out. If I keep then bottled up, I feel depressed and just not myself. So please, is it really OKAY to cry, and mourn this much??
