It may help to soothe it, but thats all. My brother suffers with psoriasis, and he had success with special sun ray lamps, ask your G.P. about this.

Rubbing it on should keep it moisturised, which seems to help. But different moisturisers seem to work for different people.

Supposedly drinking aloe vera juice can help, but I think that follows the school of thought that psoriasis is the bodies way of detoxifying - throwing toxins out through the skin and killing off the cells that way. Personally, I think that's rubbish - i'm sure if that were the true cause there'd be a treatment or some sort of extreme diet that would get rid of it.

With psoriasis though, anything seems worth a go. What works brilliantly for one person sets if off wildly in another, or just makes no difference.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Examples include Enbrel, Humira, oral meds, creams, oils, salts, coal tar, etc and the list is much more extensive that I can't even remember all of the names. But recently after someone shared this video https://tr.im/Treatmentspsoriasis2015lvvD everything has changed. My psoriasis completely cleared by putting these changes in place. I only wish I'd taken photos of before and after because it truly has been miraculous. I am getting married in Oct, 2015 and I am wearing a strapless gown that also shows my back and I am confident (not like before) that my skin will be soft and pretty vs red and flakey.

Depends on how severe a case you have, but don't get aloe vera combined with other ing. beauce it could do more harm than good by irritation or inflammation. Here's an idea, I buy aloe plants and extract the jel straight from the inside of the leaf. I mix in a little pure pertroleum jelly and I have a great moisturizer for my whole body, and one of my pts. swore it really helped her psoriasis!!

It would be worth a try - the best ones are 100% Aloe Vera, so it doesn't have anything 'extra' that may cause a reaction to the skin. But you should also speak to your doctor about using it.

RE: will aloe vera help with my psoriasis?

living w/ psoriasis my whole life and my research about being healthy & having healthy skin as led me to the knowledge that psoriasis & other skin conditions are an internal problem, not just an external one. putting things on your skin can only help soothe it, not make it go away. you CAN try rubbing brine on the affected areas & letting it dry.
