My friend is 14 and into the 'emo' culture. I just found out that she is into cutting. She says she does it to 'stop feeling' anything. She is a pretty smart kid other than this - I'd like to think it was a phase, but she is also obsessed with suicide, and considers it an 'end to all her pain.' What kind of grief would cause such actions and what can I do to get her to change her point of view and stop hurting herself? I am not her mother, just a friend of the family and she has confided this to me. I've seen her physical scars and it isn't pretty. I'm at a loss here on how to be supportive without getting the authorities involved or alienating our friendship. Anyone been there & done that with some good advice for me?

i have been falling over often these days. i stumble as i walk as well.
sometimes my vision blurrs.
randomly my hand doesn't work when i write and suddenly draws a line across the page when i wasn't supposed to.
i saw a doctor but he said i need more rest, but even though i have had plenty of rest these symptoms keep continuing.
i play piano but i cannot play as fast as i used to and i can't type as fast either.
is this just plain clumsiness?

Is it just me or are more and more young lads using steroids to try and get that big macho look. Its seems like every other lad has got that big bulky figure that you get from only steroids (you know the won were it looks like they have no neck).

It f***s me off how they strut around (carrying carpets in each arm) believing that they've actually acheived something when all they've done is cheat to get big muscles. What idiots!

I have been up writing a paper. All of a sudden, i had trouble catching my breath, the parts of my arms from my elbow to my hand felt numb and i felt very "out of it." I guess I felt lightheaded, but it was more along the lines of "out of it." I felt that when I talked, I heard my voice differently. Like maybe my hearing was going out. This went on for about 5-10 minutes..then I got chills. Next, I became really tired. What happened to me? If anyone can answer this accurately, please do.

Last week my missus came home with 12inches of plastic strap-on and wants to shove it up ol' brown eye. I'm concerned that it may damage my anus. Should I counter-attack and use it on her? Or should I just enjoy it?

My grandmother celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary in Newsham Hospital. Liverpool. I need to find the exact year and possibly the month to help with family tree. She fractured her femur on Cristmas Day, (no, she didn't drink) and was admitted to Broadgreen Hospital but transferred to Newsham as it was closer to home. Does anyone know how long a stay would normally be, as the practice then was to put the patient in almost full body plaster.

The medical profession in the UK don't have any understanding of MCS.
I'm suffering so much. My friends have all disappeared, because they think I make this up! I have told my doctor my symptoms and he did look it up on the net, but he doesn't suggest anything, no treatments, no solutions, no support, no information, no formal diagnosis. Not even any sympathy. One of the other doctors at the practice even suggested this was a psychological thing! How come the medical profession here are so uneducated about this, and how am I supposed to manage with this debilitating nightmare of a disease without any assistance?

I've read books, looked for on-line help. It doesn't work for me. I think I need someone who has been in my shoes and is cured to tell me what worked for them. Someone who really knows what shyness feels like. Thanks so much!
