Ive heard that boiling water and then holding your face over the top of it with a towel draped over your head can help get rid of acne or reduce acne? Is this exfoliating? I done it last night and my face came away feeling soft and the redness had gone down a bit? How often should I do this? I heard that exfoliating too much can cause your skin to produce more oil and give you worse acne? How often should I do this? I also heard that adding a few drops of tea tree oil can help? What do you think?

I am a girl who want to be a wonderful person and live a good life(loving and being loved). I have a lot of good dreams. But my desirable of making them come true is not intense. I lack of ardour of life. My head is jumbled, I am being hasty of thinking about questions. My frame of mind is passive and negative. I don't figure I have good friend in Canada(I came Canada last summer.). I can always find the shortages of my just-so-so friends. Sometimes I even think I don't like anybody. I am not enjoying my life. I am not really happy. I am in a terrible state, though I am a big time student in my high school.
Yesterday I went to the English Bay. When I saw lots of white enjoying their lives there. I hope I am one of them very much. I hope I can be a person whose frame of mind is very good, who enjoying her life, who is clear-eyed, who is intelligent, resourceful, charming and crackajack.
I need to read a lot of books about adjusting the frame of mind.

Ok well i hurt my knee in gym class and now(2 weeks later) my knee still hurts. I cant really straiten it becauseil gets "locked" What could thois be? The orthapidi said everything was fine and took x-rays but not an MRI. He said just to rest but its just getting worse and everything doesn't seem fine. My mom won't take me back there to get an MRI. She said everything was fine. I asked if she could get me crutches but she said its best for me to wak. But that really hurts and my knee gets locked but I told her that and she wont believe me. Why does my knee lock? Should I get crutches? What should I tell my mom?

Somewhat recently and suddenly my gums have turned purple. The gums covering my teeth and the roots appear to be normal and pink but above that the gums and inside of my lip has turned purple. The gums up above my teeth have also sunk back a little bit. This is happening on top and bottom. I saw a dentist and he said it looked normal with no signs of gum disease. I explained to him my gums were pink and thick above my teeth and now they are purple and much thinner. I am only 26 could this be aging?

O.K.- I am 5`7- 5`8 and about 180 pounds. We got a treadmil, and I wanna lose about 50-80 pounds by next august- September. How much should I work, how much should I eat, what should I eat? O`, and also, I have heard people say, that you are not supposed to eat after 6:00, so I am trying to do that. But sometimes I get hungry. I heard you could drink a cup of tea, but I HATE tea. Is hot cocoa good? Is that a good sub?

My father had his stroke about 7 years ago. Although his doctors say that there is potential for him to get better, he just doesn't seem to have any motivation or determination. All he wants to do is sit in his room and watch tv all day everyday. He barely even talks. He lives in an assisted living facility and the staff tells me that he talks to them and answers questions when asked. When I try talking to him its almost like pulling teeth. I only get short one word answers, his favorite is "alright". When I try asking open ended questions he just stares off into space not answering me at all.
Yesterday we sat in his room with no tv and I tried talking to him again only to find myself talking to myself. I sat there in complete silence just to see if he would say anything and not one word was uttered.
It is very heart breaking to watch him like this. Do any of you have any experience with a family member like this? Help please I want my daddy to talk to me.

i occassionally have to give it a squeeze and some rank pus comes out of it. every year or so it swells up to the size of a golf ball (almost) it hasnt done this for well over a year so ive put off getting a dentist looking at it. ive probably had the abcess off and on for around 5 yrs and a dentist did look at it when i first got it and received antibiotics which got rid of it then. if the swelling gets bad i take ibuprofen and it goes away. im not too bothered about getting it fixed its just im worried if there are any long term health risks involved as i read somewhere about how abcesses can place a strain on the heart but i think im just paranoid. basically the question is - do i have any long term worries?

Last Sunday, I awoke w/tenderness on the right side of my lower back. It felt like a bruise, but w/no outward signs of bruising. It didn't hurt enough for me to think that it was a big deal.

A few days later, my right thigh felt senstive to the touch and even painful if I pressed down on it, but not all the time.

Friday, I took a long car ride to go out of town. My legs felt weird, but I thought it was from sitting too long. However, when I took my pants off, I could see my legs were severely swollen. I've never had swollen legs before.

Now, it seems that the area where my back is tender, which has also moved down to the top of my buttock, is "pulsing" every once in a while. My legs will reduce if I elevate them, but as soon as I sit or stand they swell again.

I don't know if I should go to the ER or wait until I go home on Wed. and see my doctor. I'm having normal bowl movements and urinating fine. No fever. I was feeling slight nausea last week and abnormally thirsty.

Every time I start and suddenly stop antidepressants I get a constant pain on the right side of my head and a shower of constant black eye floaters in my right eye. Sometimes the right side of my neck is also sore. I went to the eye dr. and he didn't see any floaters in my eye. The CAT scan was also clear. So I went to a neurologist and he said it is most likely atypical neuralgia or migraine disorder. Has anyone ever experienced these symptoms? Maybe the starting and stopping of antidepressants trigger chemical changes in my brain which then cause these symptoms. It usually clears up in a few weeks to months. Does this sound like neuralgia or migraine? The pain on the right side of my head and floaters in my right eye are constant for weeks or months. My right eye also waters. It feels as if the blood vessel or nerves on the right side of my brain are sore.
