my temp tooth keeps falling out is there any way I can buy something over the counter or is there a better solution at my dentist? I have had it put on 3 times in 2 weeks ( it's my front tooth).

In a pinch, you can use any denture adhesive. It should help keep the tooth in. But if it's a temp and it keeps falling out, you should go back to the dentist. And tell then you would like it repaired at no charge. Unless you have a real loser for a dentist, he/she won't charge you for fixing the mistake.

While a temp coming out is not something that we like to see happen, it does happen once in awhile. Your dentist should not charge you to fix a temp. It is a simple procedure that shouldn't even require the dentist to be there. The assistant should be able to take care of you and get you in and out. Since it has been 2 weeks your permanent crown should be in soon. An easy way to fix this is a small (and i really mean small) amount toothpaste inside of the temp, or you could try vaseline. I know, it sounds weird huh? What this does is create some suction to hold the temp on. If you choose to use denture paste, it will make a mess and be expensive. Everyone has toothpaste and vaseline at home right? Oh yeah, try the temp on first to make sure you have it on the right side, if you try to put it on just guessing, it will just make it more frustrating. Until you can get back into the dentist for the permanent crown, do not bite into anything as much as possible and do not floss the temp. If you do choose to floss the temp, once it is snapped down between the teeth, pull the floss through instead of back up in between the teeth.
Hope this was helpful
