i have had a sore throat for 3 days and i am coughing up blood today. i do smoke about a half pack a day. it is not very much but i think i have stept throat. is there anything i can take at home for this?

Coughing up blood means you need to go to urgent care or ER right away and get this checked out.

Call the doctor. Coughing up blood is not a sign of strep throat. At least no strep I've ever seen. You need to be checked for pneumonia. Call the doc or go to the E.R. Not something to mess with. Good luck.

See the doctor for a strep test, and maybe other tests.
Use a humidifier
Gargle with salt water
Drink a lot of water
Do not smoke

Don't ignore that!!!! Please get yourself to a Dr. ASAP. If you are really sick then get a doctor to come to you. Even if it is just strept throat it can develop into something else or it could be something worse!

no if it is strep you need an antibiotic definatly. you should not be coughing up blood thats for sure
