I recently got braces and my ortho gave me a pamphlet that says I cannot drink hot drinks nor eat extremely cold things like ice cream. I have never heard this before. What could be the reason for this?

Hi, I am a freshman at the University of North florida in Jacksonville. Since arriving in August, I have had trouble with certain things......dealing with roommates (I am an only child), making friends, time management, etc. Ireally miss my family, mainly my mom, who is an 2 and 1/2 hours away. I find myself falling into a bit of a depression. My mind is contsntly going, and my mood goes from being up to going down. I have trouble falling asleep, too, mainly because I cannot "shut my mind off". Are there any good self-help books that I can read? I have already picked up "Feeling Goofd" by David Burns and plan to start reading that this weekend.

I suspect that I might have a boxers fracture, but I'm not sure if I do or not. It was about a week ago at least, that I let my anger get the best of me, and I punched a wall. Since then, at least 3/4 of the back side of my hand and wrist is bruised and swollen, and my hand is kind of stiff, and it hurts to make a fist. My pinky finger knuckle is the worst, the knuckle is sunken in and there is a bump on the bone directly below it and above it. I don't want to go to the doctor if it isn't serious, because x-rays and medical treatment are expensive and I don't really have the money for them right now, so I need some advice, what do you think I should do?

ok so im going to start working out at this private gym in the building where i live so there wont be any personal trainers to help me. my problem is that i want to gain muscle and tone my body without loosing weight. im 5'1 and i used to weight 105. right now im at 96. i know that i should eat more calories than what i burn working out so that i wont loose weight. My main target is my butt. i want it to be the size that it always was before i lost weight. now its small and even though i still have a nice body shape i want it to be round and bubbly again.i know that its inmy genes so thats not a problem. can someone with experience tell me which common machines i can work with to help my butt get bigger and my thighs to get toned? and also tell me of a good machine for my belly. thank you! :)

I know it's emotional eating, but that doesn't stop me. I eat constantly, and as much as I can until I feel sick sometimes.
I'm only 10 pounds over weight, so that's not an issue YET.

i want my belly fat to go away! now!! i want to get into a bikini this summer!! i couold wear one now but i wuoldnt be comfortable!! i know im gonna have to work at it but i dont know what to do! ive alrady given up most junk food and all pop! wht kind of exercises should i do??
