ok so im going to start working out at this private gym in the building where i live so there wont be any personal trainers to help me. my problem is that i want to gain muscle and tone my body without loosing weight. im 5'1 and i used to weight 105. right now im at 96. i know that i should eat more calories than what i burn working out so that i wont loose weight. My main target is my butt. i want it to be the size that it always was before i lost weight. now its small and even though i still have a nice body shape i want it to be round and bubbly again.i know that its inmy genes so thats not a problem. can someone with experience tell me which common machines i can work with to help my butt get bigger and my thighs to get toned? and also tell me of a good machine for my belly. thank you! :)

Best exercise for butt and thighs is the basic squat. (The Leg Press machine accomplishes the same thing as a squat, but it's less challenging because it eliminates the balance factor.) Doing squats or leg presses in small sets (8-10 reps) with heavy weight will build that butt muscle and get you back your bubble! Lunges are also good for butt and thighs. As for belly, the ab machine in most gyms is okay, but basic crunches and side crunches are the best place to start.

Try a Pilates workout (you can buy the videos online at www.winsorpilatates.com)
Sorry this doesn't answer your gym question, but these excercises will help you tone.
