I have been a nervous wreck for a few months now and have watched my grades fall to ****, and I can't seem to remember or even learn anything in school anymore because of the way that I feel... also my health... I was wondering if this were normal; like if it is okay to have problems in school when you're a nervous wreck

Any kind of trauma can disrupt you ability to do pretty much anything, whether is emotional or physical or any other type of trauma. Have you tried to speak any kind of therapist or couselor about this trauma you've been through? It may help you if you start trying to work through it and once you do, your ability to focus may start to come back to you. If you don't try to work through it though, it may just stay in the back of your mind and eat away at you a little at a time. There are all kinds of ways to find counseling. I'm sure your school offers counseling, but if you would prefer to go outside of school, you can always check with your local health department, DHHR, or your local United Way. The United Way actually has a very good program that they call Family Services that offers therapy and counseling by liscenced therapists and it is based upon your income (if that is an issue). Good luck to you, I know how hard it can be to ask for help sometimes.

i've been through the same thing. it's normal. i had a lot going on at home and i wasn't there. i was in college. so it's probably best to talk to someone about your problems before your grades drop further. it'll be ok.
