I didn't injure it, that I can remember. I am pregnant though. Wondering if pregnacy can make nails crack. It is cracked right across the middle. I think it will fall off. And I really wanted my feet to look nice when I deliver.

I've just been told I have it. It sounds more like a symptom than an illness. Can anyone explain it to me?

At this time of year we all know that it is "flu" season. I am wondering why so many people who have the flu have to crowd in the the ER only to find out that they just have the flu and it will be over in a day or so.
The flu is as common as the common cold but for some reason people just don't get it. I understand that it can be frightening feeling that sick and I have a time or two felt like I am dying but...IT IS JUST THE FLU!!!!!!
It infuriates me when I have to go to the ER with a true emergency and have to wait for hours because there are so many others there that have a common problem that will cure itself.
Anyone else out there with me on this???

I am completely aware of how terrible Diet Coke is and yet, I am drinking over 5 or 6 a day. I drink one can and then open another within an hour. I am an active person - its not like I am sitting around drinking it out of bordem. I have no other vices - no smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc. However, I am seriously hooked. Its not funny to me - I know that I am poisoning my body. Its an addiction for me, and I can't stop, it seems like its gotten worse over time.

PLEASE let me know if you've been able to wean yourself or kick this habit. Even trying to reduce my intake (with white knuckles), I can try to make it with only two a day - still not healthy.

HELP!

I had the left side of my Thyroid and a very big lump in the front of my neck removed last year, 6/6/06. Now I keep getting lil' sharp pains in my neck. it's hard to tell if the pain is coming from the scar or right below it. I was just wondering if it could be Scar tissue pain. Or maybe I'm getting more nodules again.

been getting to bed at like 3am or 5am. I have bipolar so its probably a manic moment coming on. Anyway I was warming up my car this morning and I was thinking to myself (uh oh)... and I think I havent accepted the fact that I have bipolar. I keep fighting it thinking its some sort of joke or punishment. I think that maybe since Im younger its just a hormonal thing. It insults me when I have to go to a doctor and who I am is summed up in a list of questions. < Have you been sleepin well? Do you feel you are on top of the world? etc etc> I just feel boring when someone asks me the same questions and they feel they can deduce what is going on. There is always more to anyone people are beautiful like that. Wow i rambled ok well the question is has anyone else accepted the fact they are bipolar?

I have already cut out sodas and candy. Candy didn't really have that much of an impact on me but when i stoped drinking sodas after christmas 2006 i started loosing more weight than i was with just exercise. So what other things can i eliminate that will have more or less the same impact as the sodas.

I have surgery planned for the end of the month. The doctor said I'll get general anesthesia. He also said that he'd make a two-inch slit and put mesh (like a tiny fence) to keep things in place in the future. He said the results from laparoscopy have been good on other procedures but not as good with hernias, so he doesn't do them anymore for hernias.

I have a few questions--Has anyone had the mesh put in? Any thoughts on the two-inch scar v. laparoscopy? Is general anesthesia normal for the procedure?

Also, how long before I can drive, work (at a desk), and play basketball/football?

Thanks for any insights.

She's been on soy for over four and half months now and never had any problems. Recently she has developed a persistent diaper rash. The doc said might be bacterial so we tried bacterial cream, yeast cream. Didn't do much. A week later I noticed she had a very subtle rash that looked like prickly heat (almost not noticeable) flat, no texture. Then she came down with a stomach flu, and my husband was also sick a couple of days later (we're not sure if he had food poisoning from sushi though) no one else has been sick. Now the diaper rash is really bad becasue she has had bad poops. She is still recovering from the stomach thing no more throwing up but not eating as much. The doc seems to think the rash is viral and has been treating syptoms as though they are separate...I'm starting to wonder if she has developed an allergy to soy?
