I have two cracked teeth that are in bad condition. I just came from my dentist who x-rayed the teeth and came up with two solutions. This is what has to be done:
One tooth requires a root canal, but it can be saved
The other tooth has broken beneath the gum and will be extracted completely.

After these two procedures, a bridge will be built between the missing teeth, and a crown made for each.

The estimated cost of these procedures is $5,125.00. My insurance will only cover $1,000.00, which will leave me with a bill of $4,125.00. I have not had dental work done in about 25 years, and so I do not know what the going rates are for this kind of work. Can someone tell me if this is a reasonable cost for these procedures? Thank you.

My husband went through Chemo and it left him with arthritis and type 2 diabeties. The Dr. put him on pain pills but they have a lot of scary side effects. this Dr. is not much on natural remedies. Has anyone with type 2 diabeties had experience with Glucosmine?

i guess most would agree it's not painful. well this was, it was like it was so extreme it hurt. when i at some point put my hand on my jaw/neck area it was hard as a rock and swollen about the size of an egg! i have never heard of anything like this happening. in case it matters, i used to be one that loved sour stuff. over the years i have stopped "craving" it as i used to.
this was close to 2 hours ago... the swelling is down tho not gone, when i touch it, it ranges from a little bit tender to almost tickle-ish.
i so hope someone can share some knowledge about this.

A 12 year old girl came on here asking if people thought she was fat. She was only 12, 5'3'' and 125lbs. Now that's healthy. Her bmi was 22.1 which is what it should be. People then said she needed to lose 15lbs because she was chubby! Adults coming on here telling a TWELVE year old she should lose so much weight that she would end up underweight. What is the world coming to when children worry about being tubby and adults tell them they should do all these different exercises. I agree obesity is a problem but a 12 year old hasn't even reached maturity. Am I being a too over the top thinking this? Sometimes I do get a bit miffed with other people's answers, I think I should chill out a bit!
