My husband went through Chemo and it left him with arthritis and type 2 diabeties. The Dr. put him on pain pills but they have a lot of scary side effects. this Dr. is not much on natural remedies. Has anyone with type 2 diabeties had experience with Glucosmine?

Glucosamine is okay for diabetics to take. I've been taking it for years and my blood glucose is fine. Read all about it here:

If you mean Glucosamine: "It remains unclear if glucosamine alters blood sugar levels. Several human studies suggest no effects on blood sugar, while other research reports effects on insulin. Preliminary studies show no effect on mean hemoglobin A1c concentrations in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Caution is advised in patients with diabetes or hypoglycemia, and in those taking drugs, herbs, or supplements that affect blood sugar. Serum glucose levels may need to be monitored by a healthcare provider, and medication adjustments may be necessary. " NIH

it actually says on the bottle that it is not intended for people with blood sugar problems, I would ask the doctor. I have hypoglycemia and I cannot take it as it messes with my system and I become really lethargic.
