If the bruise is under the nail then it will grow out with the nail. If not, it will heal on its own so dont worry about it. This happens when there has been a trama to the nail and its healing itself.

wait the chick with the nail filer almost made me hurl . just let it grow out . you probably smashed your finger and now it bruised under the nail. bruises are just pooled blood. it will grow out eventually. the nail file way just sounds way too dark ages for me eww. almost like saying i have a head ache. i think ill drill a hole in my head. leave it alone.

If it hurts, then your fingernail may come off. I would get a nail filer and file your nail down to get the blood out. Trust me with this!
