She may be crying from being in emotional pain too... I know that when I was younger, I wanted my mom's help with everything when it came down to the girl stuff. Just help her out as she asks and reassure her that you will be there for her even if it is a bit awkward, and that you will do everything you can to make her feel better. She may just need more of the love from an older brother. I'm sorry, but am very proud of you for taking care of your sister =]
Best of luck to you and your family.

very sweet of you to help your sister. How about a heating pad and some midol for the cramps...that will help a lot! If you can't get to the store to get midol, advil, aleve, tylenol will all work the same. if you don't have a heating pad then have her get in a hot shower and let the water just hit her stomach until the meds kick in.

You could try getting her to have a nice warm bath, not only will the heat help with pain but it will also help her to relax, pain is much worse in a person who is not relaxed.

And yes, sometimes a cup of tea is good.

My big brother was the first one I told about my period, and my mom is alive!
He did the same as you, he helped all he could by going to the store fore me and whatever else I needed.

Tell her to take a hot shower and try to relax. Tea sounds good too.

Teen Midol should help her, and believe it or not, chocolate really does help the pain. If you don't have Midol in the house, Aleve has the same ingredients, and if you don't have that, have her take one acetaminophen and one ibuprofen with something caffeinated; that always helps me.

I am very sorry to hear about your mum

You are taking on a very kind and mature act for your sister

She is probablly crying aswell because she is scared and confsed of what is happend and with her mum being gone also have you told your dad you probablly should?

Tell her to take lots of baths
Paracetamol or Ibruprofen
Or cuddle up to a pillow and watch lots of tv
Or sleep that helps to

You should probablly get your girlfriend to talk to her aswell
good luck

Hot water bottle is very good too
For when you shower with warm water it does reduce the amount of blood and can stop it for a while.
Hot drinks as well like hot chocolate is good.
And pain killers.

Reassure her its okay, i was very nervous my first time, but later on you get very used to it.
Good Luck

You are a great brother. Tylenol is good, Ibuprofen is better. Warm packs. Do you have an aunt or close adult family friend who could talk to her? Or your -- girlfriend I hope, not grandfather. She might just need some support too, with her mom gone now for this big event in her life.

Try giving her some pain killer and a heating pad for the cramps. She might just be super-emotional because of the hormones, too.
