um....squatting? I think you must mean doing the exercises, right? if you got sore the first time, it means those muscles are weak, so yes, you will want to continue.

make sure you stretch and warm up the muscles first, and stretching and cooling down gradually after exercising will help avoid that soreness. do not continue exercising past the point of discomfort, but rather build up your endurance and strength gradually.

rock on!

Well by sore, do you mean in pain or your muscles themselves are just sore.

If it is a pain type thing, I would try half squats (assuming your doing full squats). If your still in pain when doing those, go to a doctor.

Now, if it is just muscle soreness because you did them for your first time, then I wouldn't reccomend doing squats for at least 3 or 4 days. I have been lifting for about 2 or 3 years now and still get DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). When you lift heavy weights, you break or muslce fibers, it really takes about a nights rest for your body to be sore from the activity though because thats when your muslces are trying to rebuild them. Your muscles are trying to make the fibers bigger and stronger to so thats why you'll be a little sore.

If its just muslce soreness, you should lve it, at least I do! ;)

Yes. It's only hurting because it was the first time. Your muscles weren't used to doing that. As long as you excercise a couple of times a week, your muscles will be strong without soring. I had to do push ups alot and it was hurting at first 2. ^_^

Squatting for what reason? Excercise? Then yes, your muscles just aren't used to that excercise, just take it easy and don't push yourself too hard, the pain will stop
