I 've been running 3 miles, 2 to 3 times a week on the treadmill and have developed a painful left ankle.
It hurts on the outer side just below the ankle bone, in the dip, and along the side of my foot and though it doesn't hurt to walk I can no longer run as the pain starts immediately. If I rest my foot it is extremely painful to stand when I put weight on it but then it subsides after a few minutes. If I walk any distance it'll hurt afterwards too.
It is also quite stiff and hurts to turn my foot inwards.

I've stopped running but it's not improving and it's getting me down.

I haven't twisted it or anything and when I was only running 1 and a half miles at a time I had no problems. Does anyone have any ideas? I've not seen my Doc yet as he'll probably just say don't run!

Thanks

I had an ultrasound and everything came back normal except an abnormal excessive fluid, which my doc said was blood in my cul-de-sac... what does that indicate?
it showed up on the ultrasound. my periods are normal in frequency and the amount of blood. It hurts a whole lot though. And even when I am not having my period I have bad backaches and abdominal pain, which has been constant for the last three months (as in everyday...every minute) and on and off in the two years before that.
I had an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound... I am assuming it was the pelvic one that showed the blood.

so i have had 2 pregnancies in the past 5 months. I lost both of them very early. My doctor told us to wait only after the next period then it will be ok to try again. So we have been trying to get pregnant but it seems likei miscarry or get my period every time? Is there anything i could do ( home remedy) that would increase chances of pregnancy?

oh yeah my doctor won't test for anything until i have 3 miscarriages in a row. I guess until that point it'd considered ok?

I've just had a blood test done and my GP has told me that my cholesterol is 5.5 and that I appear to have elevated levels of triglycerides. I'd like some information on what this means, if anyone can help.
Thanks.

Is this characteristic of people with bipolar? I am confused because a psychology teacher told me that people with mental illnesses such as bipolar or schizophrenia only have AUDITORY hallucinations, and the only way a person can have visual hallucinations is from drugs or alcohol, or withdrawal from these substances.
The boy I work with is 11 and has been describing hallucinations he has of ghost girls who come into his room and stare at him. He is very frustrated because when he tells his parents, they tell him that its just his imagination... but its real to HIM! COuld this be due to bipolar, and if so, how can I help him????
