You CAN lose ten pounds in two weeks safely. Doctors actually recommend that you don't lose anymore than that on a weekly basis. Anymore could be unhealthy. Do you have a gym membership? If not, most gyms will let you have a two week free trail to try them out. I am recommending the gym because you can burn more calories by using the elliptical trainer than by running.
You are going to want to eat a lot of foods that have good carbs and TONS of fiber. These are primarily vegetables. Eat a lot of salad, but don't go buck-wild on the dressing because dressing (especially low-fat) tends to have a lot of sugar in it. If you do want to use a little dressing, Italian is the best because one serving only has about sixty calories in it. Load up on fruits also. Fruit has natural sugars in them so you can still soothe your sweet tooth without having those icky, albeit tasty, refined sugars in your system. Stop drinking soda pop and fruit juices, there's too much sugar in that stuff too.
What you're really going to want to do is balance yourself food/diet/exersice wise. I am 5'9" and 145 pounds. I eat a cup of yogurt for breakfast and have either a banana or an apple, sliced turkey wrap for lunch (three slices of deli-style turkey in a small totilla with one slice of cheese, lettuce, and a SMIDGE of Italian dressing) and another piece of fruit. Dinner usually is red meat (in small portions, 4 oz) or 4 pz baked chicken with salad, veggies, and a whole-wheat roll toasted. If I get hungry and want a snack, I usually have a piece of fruit or a cup of yogurt or a bowl of oatmeal. I have two snacks a day. Now, I also indulge myself every now and again. I find indulgence (or cheating) makes me stay dedicated to my diet because it's not as restrictive.
I go to the gym five to six days a week. I do strength-training three days a week, and do it every other day. I do the elliptical for an hour each day that I'm on it. An hour on the ellptical for my height/weight/age burns about 600 calories! Weight training for half an hour will burn about another hundred calories or so. I also hop the bike for ten or fifteen minutes and run on the treadmill for about fifteen minutes (I do a fifteen minute mile on the treadmill). The main idea is to burn more calories than you consume. At a standing rate (daily), us humans burn anywhere from 1500 to 2000 calories a day. So, if you cut down your caloric intake (let's say you burn on average 1800 calories a day at a standing rate) to 1500 calories, you are burning 300 calories already daily. Then if you are burning another 400 calories a day by exersicing, you already have burned about 700 calories that day. One pound of fat contains 1000 calories, so working out religiously and doing things healthfully and the right way will result in quick, healthy weight loss.
I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
P.S.... from the sounds of it, you may not even need to lose weight. You sound like you are pretty thin otherwise.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

that's alot of weight in 2 weeks! esp. for your size...you'd probably just be losing water and muscle. Just eat about 3/4 of what you normally eat and do some cardio. The sit-ups aren't really going to make ur tummy flatter in two weeks. Better off buying a pilates or other full body work-out to try and shed the lbs.

well this is what i would do also with the exercise u're doing
b'fast-grapefruit and two hard boiled eggs (eat whites only...throw yellow away or give to dog), maybe an apple or as a snack in two hours if I feel hungry. Green tea to drink. NO JUICE. Too much sugar. Coffee is okay...water too.
lunch-turkey meat & veggie cheese (no bread), and a piece of fruit (apple/orange/ or a 1/2 of gfruit if I've only eaten 1/2 for bfast)
fruits for snacks are okay
dinner-5 vegetables (uncooked), turkey or chicken, veggie cheese, salad (no bread or bread products/no rice either)...yams
good luck!

there are a number of "weight loss" products that can be purchased over the counter, which include diet pills (such as Stacker 2) and nutritional supplements (such as Slimfast). I have found that the best way to lose weight is through activity and sensible eating (avoid junk food and fried foods).

yes, it is safe to lose up to 5 lbs a week, any more is dangerous, how much you actually lose depends on a lot of things such as matabolisim, diet, etc, and if you are working out, muscle wheighs more than fat, so you have to calculate that in.
