i know with joint replacements the company who manufactured the piece gives an id card to the patient..you could ask your ortho doc if its possible to get something like that...having to carry x-rays with you sounds a bit much to me...either way ask your md

My uncle used to have to take copies of the x-rays of his steel hip replacement every time he had to fly anywhere...to get through the metal detectors...so it would depend on what your need was.
