My Grandmother wants to go over to Dublin from Liverpool via plane w/the rest of the family for a graduation. She seems hellbent on going, which I admire...but it is a the expenese of everyone else's nerves. She is apparently in need of a pacemaker and is waiting for the surgery date. She a lot of work these days and is very demanding. I guess an English Doc. told my mother (who is really the main source of support for her...)that she should be fine to fly...but I am not so sure. We (our family) will be there for 3 days and don't know if she can take the stress of the journey. My mother doesn't have the heart to tell her that she shouldn't come.
I am more worried for my mother who has to look after her. She sounds like a nervous wreak on the phone and I suggested getting another medical opinion. I would assume that the air pressure change would be hard on someone who's heart cannot regulate itself naturally under normal circumstances. But maybe I know nothing!

If I don't eat a lot, then I become a stick. Even when I do start eating normally, I never gain that weight back. But I wanted to know if it's true- that a perosn who doesn't eat (barely eats) or eats less than 1,000 calories a day can gain weight. My mom told me that!

I am 5'4' and about 109 lbs (I'm supposed to be at least 126). My parents tell me to gain weight, so now I eat so many Oreos and full-fat milk for lunch and either rice and meat or pizza for dinner. Then at night, I'll eat a lot of oreos and milk, but I'd drink lemon water an hour later. I also either eat fruits or 3 bowls of cereal (Kix) for breakfast. So, with this kind of diet, will I ever gain weight?

I have a food allergy that causes me to break out into hives, which in turn causes swelling. My hives are going away but now the joints in my fingers are hurting ( my hands were sooooooo swollen) could this be from my hands being swollen for three days or could it be from taking benadryl every four to six hours ? I really don't know if there are side effects like this that are associated to taking the benadryl.

I don't use tampons so please don't tell me to use that. I know I should use a extra long pad but what else? Where I'm working I wont be able to get up to change. I only have one 15 minute break so that will be my only time to change. The first day of work it will be 10 hours since its training and then I'll be working everyday 6 hours. I'm 16 years old. I'm just really afraid to leak besides using a good pad and I'm going to take some advil to help with the pain what else could I do? Its my first job so I'm nervous and my period usually last 5 days the first 3 days its heavy and painful. But its not really the pain I'm worried about. So if you have any suggestions that will work please tell me thanks.

I am allergic to perfume and I have previously moved my desk twice to avoid heavy scents. Recently a co-worker was moved next to me who insists on wearing perfume. I have been told my options are to live with it or to move again. I cannot find any open desks that are away from perfume but close to my current work group. Plus I don't want to move. I would like my boss to ask my co-worker to stop wearing perfume or to move her to a new cube. But I also don't want to be labeled a "problem", assuming that hasn't already happened.

I have autism, and people see things differently out of me, for example, I flap my hands, and sometimes when peole are talking behind my back, I stare at them in a trance. They should stop. Should I form a group at my school, so that they could understand me more?

I'm becoming obssesed with what i eat, i can't stop planning and worrying about the food i consume everyday. I feel guilty after eating anything that could have some fat. i try to show my family that i eat and i always intervene when my mom is cooking anything to see what ingredients she uses. I like to see other people eating and i feel very happy when i stop myself. I'm having irregular period and it can stop for 6 months and i go to the gym a lot and feel so bad if i skipped a day in my weekly routine. all these symptoms show that i'm anorexic. HOWEVER, I"M NOT SKINNY AT ALL!! all anorexic people lose weight. I don't!! i don't know what's wrong with me?!Did i screw my metabolism or what's happening?!

About 2 weeks ago, I awoke to the bed vibrating....I couldn't figure out if I was dreaming or not. It happened a couple more times, until I realized it was my husband. He will "stir" in his sleep to roll over or move and suddenly his whole body "vibrates" for about a minute or 2, then settles and he never wakes from it. I put my hand on his body to see where it comes from, but it sort of feels like it's "all over", yet has no specific source.....it almost feels like his pulse and not his muscles. He doesnt' wake or feel it happening, and seems to happen when his sleep is interupted in some way. I have found very little ambiguous information online. He has no anxiety disorder and takes no medication. Has anyone experienced this?

Are there any guys out there who sit on the toilet when peeing? I don't mean peeing and doing number 2 also - just peeing. If so, why do you do it. Why don't you stand up? I'm just curious as I have never heard of this until quite recently.
