I don't use tampons so please don't tell me to use that. I know I should use a extra long pad but what else? Where I'm working I wont be able to get up to change. I only have one 15 minute break so that will be my only time to change. The first day of work it will be 10 hours since its training and then I'll be working everyday 6 hours. I'm 16 years old. I'm just really afraid to leak besides using a good pad and I'm going to take some advil to help with the pain what else could I do? Its my first job so I'm nervous and my period usually last 5 days the first 3 days its heavy and painful. But its not really the pain I'm worried about. So if you have any suggestions that will work please tell me thanks.

Thanks I will try that...and I'll consider tampons I don't know when, they just seem uncomfortable. Oh and with the job since I'm just starting out I didn't want to keep asking to go to the bathroom. But eveything should go well and thanks to all.

If you won't use internal protection (and there are other choices besides tampons), then you can only go with the longest, most absorbent pad that you can wear.

I don't know what kind of job you'll be doing, but supervisors do understand that women need to use the bathroom every so often, and they do know why, you shouldn't need to explain. If you leak, you may have to go home, because no supervisor wants and employee around with obviously stained clothing. Speak to a woman supervisor or manager. You cannot be fired for it. Show them you're a great employee in other ways.

Last resort? Maybe not the job for you.

Wear black pants so any leaks won't show. You should consider wearing tampons...but if you won't just wear an overnight pad. You should have a break at least every 2 hours (1 break for 4 hour shift or 3 for 8 hour shift) so make sure to change your pad on your break. If you are soaking a pad in less than 1 hour, see your doctor because that could be a serious problem. Also ask you doctor about birth control pills, they can help with your period. There is a birth control pill call seasonale where you only get your period every 3 months.

Can't you just say you have to go to the bathroom?? Do they really expect you to hold it for ten whole hours!! Well for pain although u are taking advil i would try midol instead. It helps me like 10 times more!! I am only 13 but it reallly relally really helps and I have Killer I mean KILLER cramps.. I cry and scream and everything!! Lol. But for the leaks. Just in case wear a longer shirt or a jacket just in case you have to cover something. Or a long jacket. just say you are cold or something. Or you could bring the same pants and change. But that would be hassle. I would try the pads that are meant for really heavy periods. Also maybe a darker pair of pants. Just incase it is a leak. But I think that you will do fine. Dont worry about it!! Goood luck on your first job!!!!

it is not a solid theory to placed on a tampon to mattress, till you intend on placing an alarm to take it out after 4 hours. i comprehend some manufacturers say "in a single day" yet that's no longer of challenge you p.c. to take. A reusable menstrual cup is the sole ingredient you could go away up there devoid of the possibility of TSS. check out the Diva Cup, there's a gaining wisdom of curve to employing it yet completely worth it. you need to use something like that besides to a pad, or make investments interior the in a single day pads. yet easily, if i'm ever in that concern I basically use rest room paper. Works besides as something ;)
