I am about to have a major surgery and I have a severe allergy to all opiate related drugs. Are there any other types of pain medications that I can take, that would actually relieve the pain after surgery?

Last week I put on 5 lb in weight. Have questioned this in the Diet and Fitness forum and I was told that it was perhaps water retention was the cause.
Was advised to take Diuretic tablets. But have looked into this and found that they are not good for your kidneys etc.
Does anybody know of a 'natural' diuretic I can use without it harming my body.
Thank you for any input.

i have been on my period for twelve days now ihave been having really weird periods since i had a baby i have been to my gyno the first time it happend and she gave bc pills and i have to take a thyroid pill and all that good stuff my thyroid levels and blood and iron levels are all in the normal range now we are trying to figure out my period im supposed to have a biopsy of my endometrium done but the cant do it until i stop bleeding or whatever yesterday it acted like it was stopping and it was spotting a little bit but i woke up this morning and it was back not heavy or any thing jsut like a light period and it dosent want to go away has anyone had this problem i could use some hope because i am really starting to get annoyed

I have psoriasis and a couple years ago I was diagonosed with psoriatic arthritis, however, (knock on wood ) my hands haven't bothered me for awhile. Anyway, my question is some of my nails have started to detach from my skin. The white part of my nails are now like halfway down my nail so there is little 'pink' left on my nail. My nails are only hangin on by like half the nail. I only have a few nails like this and when I accidently hit them on something it hurts so bad. I can barely knock them on something (which wouldn't hurt my other nails) and it really hurts these nails. I have looked up images online for psoriatic nails but they don't really look like that. My nails look healthy except for becoming increasingly white and slowly detaching. Have any of you experienced anything like this? I no longer have insurance so I cannot make it to the doctor now.

My sister who lives in Canada was diagnosed with hep a. We have not had any contact with her but although my parents went to visit her. Should we be tested since we have been in contact with my parents. And my parents do not know if they have yet in the process of being tested. Also if someone has Hep b or C can they give someone Hep A

How long did it take you to loose the weight... I have been having problems w/ my husband & now things are okay, the last time we had sex was in February, we are now have almost three times a week for about 3 weeks now. I have this problem though, I tend to bleed after we get done is this normal. I have dropped about 40 pounds and he has done the same thing, I guess we both got depressed. Yesterday I bent down and suddenly I head a sharp pain in my back, kind of all around the right area, but not too low or at the spine. Since then its hurt when I move in certain directions and when I breathe in deeply. Is this just a regular back problem that goes away by itself, or is it something else. What I'm concerned about is the breathing in deeply pain... 6 months ago the same thing happened and went away in a few days... Anyone can help me?

My wife has a vaginal cyst thats about the size of a small marble. It doesnt hurt and it is non cancerous. The doctor asked if she wants to remove it? She is scared because the surgery and is thinking just to leave it since its not bothering her. Has any ladies out there had experiance in this? What would you do?
