a friend mine got a yeast infection on his genatalia. I noticed a girl on his myspace commented that she had streap throat.....If they were intimate could she be the culprit?

No, strep throat and yeat infections are caused by two different pathogens (infectious bacteria, etc). Srep throat is caused by a certain type of sterptoccocus bacteria while yeast infections are caused by yeast (usually candida albicans). Yeast are not even bacteria , they are a fungi so there is no connection to the strep bacteria. Your friend could have gotten the yeast infection from a partner who either had a vaginal yeast infection or an oral yeast infection, depends on what kind of sex they had. He may also have developed the yeast infection from something else, but this is rare in males.

strept and yeast are different pathogens and strept cannot cause a yeast infection only a yeast, usually Candida Albicans, can cause a yeast infection.

No. Strep is bacterial. Yeast is fungal.

yeast infections are caused by, well yest/ fungus while strep infections are caused by bacteria
