Today, I had to get a full spinal x-ray of my back. I went to the lab to get it done, and when they did, they made my mom and i fill out a form stating that I wasn't pregnant. I thought it was a little weird since I'm only 13, but I went with it. When I handed back the form, they said they didn't believe me when I said I wasn't pregnant or sexually active. They said I couldn't get my x-ray and to come back when I was on my period. But I needed that x-ray. It was very important. Finally, my mom persuaded them to do a pregnancey test, which came back negative. Only then did they give me the x-ray. But if they did refuse to give me the x-ray until I was on my period, I could have gotten seriously hurt, more than I already was. What's up with this? My mother and I signed a form to say I wasn't pregnant!

My period was due a couple of days ago (I think) so I'm not sure if I'm late. I've never heard of cycles going this long and it seems that every month the dates are moving, not even close to the previous month.. I've talked to my doctor about this, but they can't come up with any reason why.. really just curious if it's possible...

I recently visitied a D.O. and a hormone test has revelaed that my hormones, specifically my cortisol, is high when it should be low and low when it should be high. Additionally, I demonstrate a lot of the symptoms of an adrenal disorder: depression, irregular menstral cycles, skin conditions, etc. My doctor has reccomended adrenal stress end (?) to treat my depression, but I have heard that hormone treatment for non-menpausal women is risky at best, a crock at worst. (I mean, you can get this stuff over the counter for goodnes sake!) I'm only 26! Does anyone have anicdotes or advice to share?

Most people, in childhood, want chocolate most of the time. At least for me, I thought life without chocolate will be intolerable. I am pretty certain there are others who thought likewise in their childhood.
Now in adulthood, I want sex most of the time. I think life without sex would be intolerable. However, after the acutal act, I usually realize that sex is not as great as fantasized. Nonetheless, the want returns in about few days.
Craving for chocolate disspears after certain stage (well, maybe not totally). I suspect sexual desire is kind of like that. There are some who think heaven will be so boring because there will be no sexual acts going on in heaven.
Do you think sexual urge ought to be controlled and regarded wit prudence?

i asked a question earlier but il try again....il shorten it down. I have NO FRIENDS. I am in the UK, however i am from Libya, i have an american (ish) accent.
I was at boarding school since age of 11 till 18, made some friends, lost them all through no contact.
I went to college, made a few friends, didnt stay long enough to make good ones, so lost them all again.
University 1st Year - Made many friends, and 1 best friend, ALL of them changed course, and best friend moved to France (his home), still in touch but dnt meet since im here.
University 2nd Year- Made a 1-2 new friends, they also quite univeristy and i lost contact or they just live to far anyway.
Present Uni year - Made no friends, everyone seems to be in groups of their own "kind" like british ppl with british, and black people with black. No ppl of my "kind" nor have i ever had friends of my own race, i just dnt click with most of them.

MY daughter is 12 & started her period in school today..
I have talked to her about it before today so she would not be so suprised, by everything, & Luckily she did not freak out about it happening especially since I was not there.
She has been asking alot of questions about it & I am answering them the best I can...I am only 29 & really dont remember much about when I started mine.. LOL
I know there is a calendar for when you know when you are going to start each month but I dont know how to get one.
Should I take her to the gyno??
I didnt go untill after my first time after sex
any help at all thank you

I have two really bad ingrown toenails, one on each big toe. I have had them before but since I got pregnant and had my baby (on August 1st) they have gotten worse. I have tried the vertical cut and pull but they're still miserably sore... also I have gone up a shoe size! I didn't think that could happen at the age of 38. Anyway, they really hurt and if anyone has any solution other than cutting off my toes, I would love to hear from you. I don't have med insurance and can't afford a pedicure so I need a home remedy. Thanks...

i am 23 and i think ive hit a huge down point in my life. i graduated HS with everyone else at age 18 and now i am having extreme back-to-school anxiety cos i am starting college again. it does not feel like normal anxiety.. i've been having horrible panic attacks that seem to start up during the day and reach their peak at night before i get calm (which might be the Xanax im on). i believe the reason for the panic attacks is cos A) i recently weened myself off of Cymbalta and B) i keep obsessing over the fact that if i dont get a college degree i will amount to nothing. (partially instilled into me by my dad). on top of that i have a $5000 debt that i acquired over the previous 5 yrs that i wasn't in school and just working random jobs. i seem to have this fear of the future since im now faced with this huge decision of what to do. everyone is expecting me to get an education and live a 'normal' life but i have a fear that i wont be ok.. i can't stop obsessing and i've been shaking.

Ok I was depressed earlier in my life and I seemed to get rid of it, but I feel the same way again. This time is worse. I feel that the depression is morphing into some kind of hate. it's really weird because this hate motivates me to do better in school and stuff, but I feel all this anger in me, and quite frankly I don't like it. Could someone help me with some advice! It's urgent.
