My period was due a couple of days ago (I think) so I'm not sure if I'm late. I've never heard of cycles going this long and it seems that every month the dates are moving, not even close to the previous month.. I've talked to my doctor about this, but they can't come up with any reason why.. really just curious if it's possible...

Depends on your age, stress and other problem your might face, your cycle can be anywhere from 21 days to 34 days.
Only if you taking Birth Control it comes regularly ,every 25-28 days
Closer to Meno Pause it can be as short as 16 days and as long as 36 Days.
So do not worry, it is ok with your cycle

I used to question that myself too. I've done some research and found out that every woman is different. The 28 day cycle is an average for most women. Some can have less than 28 and more than 28. You can even have a 36 day cycle. The only way for sure to know your cycle is to track your menstruation starting with the first day you start to spot, up until the first day of your next menstrual. I have a 36 day cycle, so my menstruation tends to skip certain months. If your curious, you can check out www.mymonthlycycle.com, very helpful website.

Yes it is possible. cycles can be of any length. I've gone months without my period. The only time I have it every month is when i'm on birth control.

That's totally normal. Your cycle doesn't have to be exactly 28 days to be normal. You're probably someone who's going to have an irregular cycle your life but it's normal.

Of course it is! I can go a month and a half without being on my period then turn around and have it for 17 straight days!!

Some females' periods are just irregular all around. I would be one of those females. (And it sucks so bad because you never know when you're going to start!)

Good luck hon.

Mine varies from 29 to 33 days and I've never had any problems. My doctor says it in the normal range and not to worry about it. Just never trust the "rhythm" method of birth control.

Its normal but you should get a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side if you are late.

It is possible. 28 days is only an average. Each woman's body is different, so each one has it's own "timer".
